Windows XP Login Problem!

Hello there!

I have just formatted my hard disk and installed Windows XP. I have setup 3 user accounts for my computer and all of them are not password protected which means users will be able to enter any account without the need of entering password. Recently my PC went into screen saver and when I resume my Windows session, it displays the welcome screen and when I click on my user name, Windows ask for a password but I didn't setup any password before! So, I need to restart my PC in order to return to Windows desktop.

I have try enabling the password and I was able to login on my 1st time until I logoff or after resuming a screensaver, I try to entry my current password but Windows keeps telling me that my password is incorrect! (Did you forget your password?)

I also have try doing a scan on my entire system using NOD32 Antivirus and Avira Antivirus but there are no virus at all!

Anyone have a solution of face this kind of problem before? Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks!

Dead Hard disk drive!

Hello guys!

My Seagate 200GB hard disk drive is not working! It causes my system refuses to boot! I suspect it might be the PCB of the hard disk drive that burn since I had smell like something is burning.

I have heard that the PCB can be replaced by the same PCB used by another hard disk drive, but I am not expert in doing so, anyone have the skills that you would like to share with? Or anyone who is experts in doing so? I might need your help.

Another consideration is sending my hard disk drive for recovery services. I know it might be a little bit pricey but I have alots of files inside this hard disk drive that very important to me (pictures of memories, documents, videos etc.). Where I can find this kind of services around KL or Selangor? How much is the exact price?

This hard disk drive is still under warranty but due to the fact that I am really need all the important files inside it, I am not willing to send it for a warranty.

Can somebody out there please help me!

Where to find old motherboard models?

Hello there!

Where is the place that I can find old motherboard and CPU models? I am planning to retire my AMD Athlon XP 2400+ and my DFI LanParty NF-2 Motherboard (Since this CPU doesn't support SSE2 which required by Adobe Premiere). I have Crosair 2GB DDR1 RAM and Nvidia Geforce 6800GT AGP version and thats the reason why I am looking for an old motherboard. I still want to stick with my DDR1 and Geforce AGP Graphic card.

I do know that I can ask people out there in the forum (WTB - Want to buy) who are willing to offer me a 2nd hand motherboard and CPU, but is there any place out there that I can find old models for the motherboard and CPU? (or a place where I can find 2nd hand models)

p/s: Looking for AMD system again! (Athlon64)

Thx!
