So... here we go again..

I'm thinking of doing a TT session this weekend. Anyone in?

Location wise :

1) IKEA (free coffee / Soft drinks)
2) Old Town - Food Sucks a bit, no more free wifi. (so generally, I'm giving this a Pass)
3) Mid Valley - I think out of question due to JAM (unless we have it like 10am)
4) 1 Utama - Again, gets crazy after 2pm or so.
5) Subang Parade - McD?
6) Kajang Satay?

All Camera Brands Poison WELCOMED.

I for one, want to (get poisoned) by the Sigma 30mm F1.4 or the Canon 35mm F1.4L (canon 50mm F1.4 need not apply)

Just want to know from fellow forummers where you guys are getting your albums for usage like weddings or events and stuffs like that.

I got one 8x12 album from Digicolour Rm30-Rm60 depending on design
Then also got jusco RM20-Rm30 which no more stock. It's quite nice but size is a bit big. ~10x14in

Where else can get these sort of album ah? Any one has any clues or "lobang"?

This is not a Canon vs Nikon vs Sony War.

Just to see what is on people's mind on the camera which they want to go with.

BUDGET must be considered as a constraint and you also have to bear in mind the current system which you already have and if you intend to jump ship, then you will have to add in all the costs of "loss" from selling your current lenses and getting the new "same focal range" as your current ones.

BTW, please don't vote just because you want to make your favorite brand higher in poll numbers. Vote because you _are_ thinking of actually upgrading

I just saw my friend wasted RM160 on the photobook from them.

She was very dissappointed with the outcome of it.

When I look at it, compared to the one I got from shutterfly.com(USA based), it was really a BIG letdown.

I'm not entirely certain it was due to the quality of the paper used to print the photos.

The Shutterfly version, it was printed on glossy paper and it has a nice magazine like feel/look. The one from photobook.com.my, instead was printed on canvas like paper which has a lot of texture. I'm unsure if it was due to the texture that the prints/photos came out very dull and what not.

All in all, if this is the quality of it, then I'm recommending that you all stay away from them.

Anyone here can give a different opinion?

Just wondering if you guys notice that when you shoot RAW+JPEG and then you play with the RAW file to obtain the JPEG, the quality is slightly bit off compared to the in-camera produced jpeg in terms of noise.

What can be done?

For the most of us, we're perhaps 50% pixel peepers and I won't say that I'm not one of them.

Goldfries has stated many times that noise in the final picture isn't too much of an issue and he's happy to be using iso1600 on his 350D. I on the other hand, not really that much of a pixel peeper but I do have issue with noise on my 400D > 800 ISO.

Which is why I lust for the 40D or the 5D which has better noise control up to ISO1600.

It's selling like hot cakes because I read that most shops either don't have it or don't have much of it left (in .sg lah)

and in the USA, there's a USD300 rebate bringing down the price to USD1899 which is just shy of RM6K for a brand spanking new unit.

Then I look at the high ISO performance and I'm "SOLD!!"
