Bookmark a DVD

Hi,

I hope members can help me out, before I post this topic, I did a search in Lowyat forums so far I dun think got discuss something like this.
(nope, this got nothing to do with pirated stuff)

My problem is:

I've to do a presentation every week using a company DVD (I can't clone it or convert to avi due to intellectual properties).
The DVD need to be index/bookmark in 13 parts. This is due when I do presentation, I don't do the whole disc one time, I've to do it part by part (time constrain)

How do I create shortcuts for this 13 parts so that when I wanna play part 7, it will straight away play it only?
Of course, each part I've to link it to the time on the DVD.

Example is when I insert the DVD, then click a shortcut on my computer, it will straight away go to the selected time on the DVD.

Is it possible?

Thanks in advance

Regards,

azbro

err..sorry to post this topic, not sure if its been discussed or not..sorry MODs...

Did a google search and seems like there are a few models out there that has a socket to plug in the adapter (notably the WD passport).
But I went to check it out but seems like dun have...example in the WD passport. Maybe its for US model.
I didn't look at the actual stuff, but only the casing was available for viewing.

Reason need to plug in the adapter is I'll be using this mainly for my Philips DVD player equip with USB slot.
I dun think the USB slot is able to power the HDD...I think it was meant for USB thumbdrives only.

So I hope to get some info abt models that really have this socket to plug in an adapter.
And hope to get some tips and which is the best model to buy for 160GB (more than enough for me).

tq in advance.

No WLAN from DSL 2640T

Hi guys..help me out as I googled everywhere, called the unresponsive DLink techical support...still no hope..

It all happen when I just got my Streamyx and setting it up at home...since this was my first time at it, I had to change the configuration this and that.
When I finally got it to work,...I can't remember if I have wireless or not....seems like the WLAN lite no lighting...it only lights when power on or during reset...for only 5 secs...thats it.

When I search for any Wireless with my Laptop also dun have. I've disable and enable the 'Enable AP' a few times also dun work. The Hardware Reset button and also Factory reset seems like no changes...the WLan seems dun wanna work at all...

Now, I've to use a wire between the 2640T instead of wireless to get internet connection...like that I better use the modem supplied by TM instead of RM250 wireless Dlink.

I really hope someone can help me 'activate' the wireless.

Thanks in advance...much appreciated..

Just to add...the most significant changes i made to the setup was using bridge mode (as recommended my streamyx) and changing the VPI to 0.

Hi there,

I hope someone can help me or clarify something..
I burned a few DTS, Dolby and WMV type of demos with Windows Movie Maker (ver.6 Vista) in a DVDR but notice the surround effects are very - very soft...it was so bad I had to up the rear volume to full and the rest to minimal.
I also burned a downloaded movie (i,Robot) and confirm the the original .avi files got more surround effects than the movie I published with Windows movie Maker.

Is this norm for Windows Movie Maker?

LCCI needed before CIMA?

Help.. I asking this for my wife...since she is so busy working and never got time to survey forums, hope I can help her out.

She got SPM only but since working 10 years in the Account Dept, need to further improve in her education level. Now she is a Accounts assistant officer. I think she can't go further up anymore with that SPM.
She is working for a manufacturing plant doing printers.

So, I went to a Edu fair yesterday and there were many options she can choose from. Example, someone recommended CIMA, other guy recommended James Watt advance diploma.

So, which I should choose from, but my wife said, there is no point in taking any of them unless got LCCI, cos' things like full set accounting is not even thought in CIMA.

I hope someone can help me out in this education route. Most of the courses are expensive and I really need some help here

Thx in advance.
