i'm new to programming, so i want to ask, which array is best to use to represent the airplane seats position in .C?

my seat position will be like this

[1] [3] [5]

[2] [4]

there will only be 5 seats, if i use array then i need to use 2 dimensional array?

my expected output will be like this:
printf("please choose your seat position to reserve your seat");
scanf(".........");
so when the user choose the seat by typing in the seat number, the seat position will change to [-]

is it possible to mark the reserved seat with [-] on the seat position?

my laptop model is Compaq Presario V3751AU

i'm running on Window XP Home Edition

previously i have opened a thead regarding the limited and no connectivity.

but i found out that i have a much more serious problem happen in my laptop, my event log keep spam with perfdisk event ID 2001 when i was idle and put the laptop in torrent in midnight, and this does not happen while i was using the laptop, so it is kinda hard for me to get a screenshot of the error.

but here are some screenshot that i take from the event viewer just now, and it seems that my event viewer has corrupted by the events it log

then when i wake up, i saw a few error pop-up, something like this:

and this morning when i wake up i was unable to open any other program, when i double click the icon it pop out this error window:

what's the cause for this problem? and what's the solution for it?

it is my HDD got problem?

i assume this by my torrent, it suppose to be finish download after 2 hours, and my torrent stopped at 90%+ so this problems came out about after 1 hour or 2 hours.

help are appreciate, i want to get as much as solutions and information as possible other than format the window.

Limited or no connectivity

recently i have this problem, when i on my laptop overnight for torrent, then out of a sudden the connection become limited or no connectivity, but my modem is working fine and other devices and laptop can access, then i restart my laptop and it can connect with no problem.

this problem have been bugging me for a while, how to solve this? even in the event viewer there also dont have the log of the problem, no error or warning, nothing.

windows setting revert to default

recently i got a problem, when i restart my laptop or shutdown my laptop then on back, some of the settings like power settings, theme settings, screen saver settings will back to default, erm....not default actually, is like it revert back to somewhere in the past

i'm using window XP sp2 and i've always turn on the automatic update

problem is like this
my power settings is set to minimal power consumption, monitor set to 2 mins turn off, never standby, and 3 min turn off HDD.

but after i restart, the power settings change to always on

i have disable the screen saver by choosing "none" at the desktop properties, screen saver tab there

after shutdown or restart, the screen saver become window XP logo and has been enabled.

i have customize the theme to some 3rd party themes, and it works well for more than half a year

but recently, after restart or shutdown, the themes appear to be strange in some part, like when i right click on desktop, the context menu are in different colour, which is previously not like that.

and the window sound also revert back to default after shutdown or restart, before this i've customize it to window vista sound effect, like those startup and shutdown sound effect.

some of the windows visual effect like fade in fade out of tooltips also affected, normally i turn off all the fancy fading effects, but after restart or shutdown it come back again

even my MSN status also got affected, after restart or shutdown, when i sign in MSN, it will say my status now is "in call" and ask me whether i want to change to "online" or not.

so can anyone help me? quite annoying sometime, and i am using laptop, not desktop.

LCD TV temperature too high

i want to ask, i got a samsung series 6 32" full HD, after i on it for some time, not very long, the screen of the LCD will become hotter than the backside of the LCD, is it normal? after few hours it getting really hot, i can feel the heat without touching the screen, is it really normal?

i didnt take the temperature reading using thermometer, so dont ask for the temperature readings, i just use my hand and touch, 70c maybe...

recently i have this problem, all the light on my modem are on, ETH, DSL, PWR and PPP light all on, but somehow i still cant connect to the internet, and also when i leave my PC idle and torrent at night or when i go out, when i come back i see the connection show limited or no connectivity.

actually what's the problem? ISP problem or is the modem problem? i didnt connect any router or wireless also, only LAN connection, and the torrent speed are very slow, download speed and surfing speed also very slow recently.

compatibility with Google Chrome Browser

recently i have some stability issues while using Google Chrome web browser and LYN, when browsing, when i click on link or halfway loading webpage, it will hang there and stop loading, before this also have the problem, but not that frequent, since LYN move to the new network, it have become more frequent, however, when i'm using firefox 3, i got no problem with the freezing problem, i hope moderator and admin will look into this issue.

today my old flat screen TV just broke down, so now i need to find a FULL HD LCD TV for replacement, looking for 40" so that my desktop and laptop can connect it to watch movie and doing other stuff

what's in my mind was the samsung and sony, and it seems like i only interest in this brand, sony spec is good but the price are higher, but good thing doesnt come cheap, i like samsung design, but their spec aren't that high.

need the LCD TV to have S-video and VGA input to connect to my pc, must be 40"

so any recommendation for samsung or sony FULL HD LCD TV?

Problem after burning video DVD

yesterday, i successfully burn one of the anime to my DVD-RW to tested see if it works, and it works, but the problems lie with the subtitle.

sometime the subtitle if ok, sometime it just keep coming out until the center of the screen, which is so much different from wat i've seen in my ppc using MPC and the original file i download is .mkv, the subtitle display nicely and correctly in my pc, but when i watch it in television it become lousy anyway to solve this problem? btw, i'm still using the old bulky TV which is only 4:3 aspect ratio, while the anime hv 16:9 aspect ratio.

could it be the encoding problem? or conversion problem? i'm using SUPER converter by eRight soft.

and also, the subtitle from the anime should hv some blue colour at the edge of every words and sometime when there r background music playing the subtitle will display at the top of the screen, while the subtitle of character chatting should be a the bottom of the screen. but after i convert and encode it, the font colour become white and font style become Aerial, which the subtitles r totally different from the anime already, however, the timing r mostly correct, just that when it load too much subtitle then it out of synchronize a bit.

explorer.exe crash

my laptop hv this problem this morning, i gt this from the event viewer.

it seems like the winlogon or explorer.exe is the cause of the problem, i've tried to google it, some said is because of the application that i installed is conflict with the explorer.exe, but the most recent software that i installed is the CCCP cdec for the media file, which is 1 day ago, and i didnt hv any conflict with crash after restart, not until today morning i start the laptop and everything goes wrong, the taskbar and icon appear for a while and then dissapear again, it keep repeating this until i end the explorer.exe task at the task manager there manually.

AMD fusion

i'm wondering, does AMD fusion really work on all AMD processor and platform? i've downloaded AMD fusion last week, i didnt see any FPS improvement and speed improvement

i go to the AMD forum there and some claim that the FPS goes up by almost 20FPS while gaming

hv any AMD Fusion user here find it very efficient?

i know some games r more GPU depend but i do hv some games that's more CPU demand, some still it's like no feel, i even checked with FRAPS on the FPS and do the comparison before and after, just about the same.

i'm using Fusion on laptop, maybe i need a desktop with AMD processor + Ati GC and ulitities in order to let it work on the maximum efficiency?

questions about tires

i want to change a new tires for the front of the car, now the tires is good year 175/65R14, any better brand other than this? wat about yokohama, bridgestone, and michelin?

should i use harder tires or softer? harder for lighter feel on the steering wheel and softer tires gv more grip, can say so?

the 175 in 175/65R14 is the wide of the tires right? 175mm, my mom said she want to change the tires to maybe 180 or 185 or maybe 190, is it good to do so? and if can, do i need to change my rims for wider tires also?

after change to wider tires will it affect my car's pickup, fuel consumption, handling, and grip?

is a thicker tires (increase in the height of sidewalls) better, or a thinner tires better?

BTW, the car is vios 2nd gen model

my mother having an accident just now in serdang raya there and i was sitting beside, now the drive seat door there bent already, not so serious, but when open the door gt a bit hard and then gt the metal sound come out when open the door, coz the door bent and closely contact to the mudguard.

now i want to know the cost for it to repair, car is toyota vios 2006 model.

so i think this time hv to do the wheel alignment and balancing already since it hit so close to the wheel, not sure the wheel gt hit by that waja or not.

that waja driver so damn suck! dont gv us the handphone number, dont go report with us and he say he will go his place and report

now really damn down, first time accident, the scene so scary, now my heartbeat still very fast

generic host process for win32

it seems like my laptop and my connection have been KO, during normal web surfing, torrent, or plying online game, the DSL light will suddenly blinking, which means disconnected, watever i plug out the LAN cable, the generic host process error pop out and ask me send or dont send, it is very annoying and i cant ply online game and slow torrent speed due to the frequent disconnect from the internet, anyone can help?

car seatbelt stuck

friday that day after i come back from college, i found out that the seatbelt cant retract itself back to original position, so i just leave it like that, then just now i start and warm up the car, i try to slowly put the seatbelt back and pull a little and push little, then by the time i want to fastern the seatbelt, it lock halfway, now i cant fastern seatbelt, and the seatbelt will retract back, it just lock there, thursday i need to fetch my mother '(she come back from taiwan), but now the seatbelt not working, i scare if i drive out will catch the attention of police, my mother just now call me, i told her she say wait her come back first, but now if just stuck there, wat can i do? i dont know any workshop and i dont hv money to fix that
