PCIe card can damage monitor?

i'm using MSI PCIe graphic card. after few months use, my samsung CRT monitor went to standby with blinking LED & can't turn on. I switched to my older CRT monitor. after few weeks it too can't turn on. i bought a samsung LCD monitor since the CRT is not worth to repair (as the pc shop guy said). again, after few mths it also went to standby with LCD blinking. I sent for repair since it's under warranty. after repair, i'm scared to use it on my pc. i sent the pc to the shop as well & the guy said no problem with it. what do you guys think?? can a graphic card cause damage to the monitor? should i buy a new graphic card? or is there something else that might be the problem?

yamaha keyboard for live performance

my brother is looking for a keyboard for live performance. ie he wants to record his playing on the keyboard accompaniment & play them back live as background music. i am looking at either yamaha PSR-S550 or E413. looking at the spec for recording, they both mention only 5 songs. can it be expanded thru usb drive, for example?

or you guys have other alternatives?

i'm using a SB 5.1 audigy with kx driver. looks like it's broken now (still investigating though..). pls suggest me a good (but cheap ) SC which is a good balance for music/movie/games & some music production as well (sequencers, VSTs..). i know historically SB cards are good for games but musicians hate them because of the latency & poor performance/control. i hv been using kx driver which somehow does improve the performance. so should i buy another SB again or what? i do have a usb audio interface but this normally is for my laptop.

btw, what kind of card slot we have these days? my SC is still using the old PCI u know

i wanna buy laptop for my music playing & am wondering whether netbook spec (atom 1.6Ghz, 1 or 2GB RAM) is good enough. i want to connect my guitar & keyboard thru usb midi interface & play thru software. currently i use my vaio (C2D 2.5GHz, 2GB RAM) for this & i manage to use both soft-synth (keyboard) & amplitube (guitar) at the same time with no lag whatsoever. the amplitube is showing around 8% of CPU usage. any comment is highly appreciated.

guys,

what are the steps to open a restaurant? i hv sort of found a good place to open one to cater for office crowd, somewhere in puchong. That area still got a lot of shoplots for rent & lacks cheap, malay style restaurant (ie nasi lemak, nasi campur, kueh-mueh & the like) for ofice crowd (breakfast/lunch/afternoon tea).

need licence? where/how to get? loan? renovation? others?

Sony Bangi is looking for permanent female operators. we are short of about 200. now we are offering anyone who can introduce operators, RM100 per operator. The candidate must have SRP/SPM education & must stay in hostel (if far from Sony & no bus route to their place). must work at least one month for the introducer to get the RM100. the applicant must write the introducer's name on the application form. university/college students are not encouraged. current monthly operator income can easily reach RM1000 or more inclusive of shift & overtime work.

the factory is at Lot 5, Jalan Kemajuan, Bangi industrial estate (N02 56.146 E101 45.680).
Walk-in interview is every week day.

activesync problem

hi

i'm using htc p3300. having problem syncing the device with pc. it was ok before. the popup message i got says "synchronization cannot be completed successfully. Reconnect your device..."

i suspect the problem is on my device coz 2 pcs have the same problem. after the msg, on 1 pc the activesync says p3300 connected. on another pc only guest connected. i can still explore the device but cannot transfer files to it. any idea? i don't want to hard reset my device but is it the only way?

i wanna confirm one thing about the split mode..
i read through the manual & it doesn't say how to change the voice for left & right hand. when press split, there are a few voice fixed left/right voice combination (voice no 126~135). i'm pretty sure u can change the voice for both left & right to whatever u want, isn't it? even my old & basic psr-310 can do that

having used normal phone for yrs, i miss the one-handed operation for sms-ing from contact. i now use HTC P3300 which doesn't have number keys. i'm still struggling to get use to it like a normal phone. if you guys own similarly configured device, is it possible to use 1 hand? do i need to install other software? i don't want to always use stylus to sms. any way i could do sms one-handed? don't ask me to buy HTC touch or something yeah?

hi

i have problem with my motorola walkie talkie model 5620. i can't seem to use one of the sets. suddenly the buttons behave differently when pressed. it can receive signal from the other set though but couldn't answer back. i tried to call this official number 03-78007023 but it says can't support since i didn't buy it in malaysia

so i donno what to do now. any of you guys know where i can get help/repair for this?

simple question about WM PDAphone

so far i hv separate phone & PDA & no chance to try out PDA/phone combo. so my simple (dumb?) question for a WM-based PDA phone :
is there a mode where the device works fully as a PDA (turn off phone function)? is this what we called flight mode or something?
or in other words for example, can i assign any hard buttons (including calling/anwering buttons) & play games without receiving or worrying about phone calls? .

i change stimix package from 44 to 66. how do i change my connection property to make always connect to stimix when on pc?
