Streamyx slowdown after formatting pc,HELP!

im in cheras using rm88 streamyx package,modem ZTE ZXDSL 831,no router,firewall i have no idea,i think its Window XP,after formating my pc last nite(got struck by malware)now have problem when downloading somethin,very VERY slow,like 9kb/sec compared to 150+kb/sec before,but surfing internet have no prob at all

i tried speedometer test few times and it shows a good 1247kbps for download(same like before),ive also checked 192.168.1.1 it shows my download speed is 1536kbps,but why when dlding something sooo slow even a 40mb file took hours to dl,before oni few minutes

anybody got any idea whats the prob,can somebody pls help me out here
