To all shifus, my laptop dvd rw rom sometimes failed to copy files from disc with making loud noise (some P version disc). When reading Original, it usually doesn't have this problem. What happen to my rom?

USB transfer rate

Im using 2 external hdd to transfer GBs file, but the transfer rate stucked at 10MB/sec which is @ USB2.0 rate. Question: any way to improve the transfer rate by changing a better cable?

Burn video DVD problem

Im using winavi convert rm format to vob. then using nero to make the video dvd. Disc runs fine at 1st, but after few minutes later, dvd players looks likes stuck and screen likes slow motion.

Im using vista here. Was using XP and never had this problem before.

any other software reckon to me?

Windows Vista activation

Myself have 1 Acer laptop (with original windows vista home premium) while my uncle's not. Im trying to format his laptop (Acer, but different model), and i found out the system "info" shows need activate the windows within 3 days. Then i tried download microsoft genuine tool to validate the copy on his laptop, and surprisely, it shows genuine version.

Question: Since it has been validated, but the system info still shows "activate within 3 days". So, which 1 i should trust on? Is that mean my uncle can continue use the laptop for more than 3 days, or??

hi, i have found out vista's cmd are only allowed me shutdown the system within 10min...used to be more than that in xp...

the command:

shutdown /s /t xxx where xxx is the range between 0-600 range......i need to use auto shutdown because i leave my system to download at night time.
