Bluetooth Driver

i'm using a dell inspiron 1420 running on windows xp. In the device manager there's a problem with something called 'BCM2045', seems to be missing the driver. Looked around on the internet and can only find drivers for windows vista. Anyone has the BCM2045 bluetooth driver for winXP? thanks.

GM965 and X3100 the same?

just bought a new laptop. the specs says it's running on intel GMA X3100 but when i check the system properties it says GM965.

Are GM965 and x3100 the same? or have i been cheated?

Price of used old parts

I have the following parts,
- one used 32MB TNT2 Riva PCI version graphics card
- one AMD K62 500MHz cpu with heatsink (not sure about the model)
- one Intel Pentium2 with heatsink (not sure about the speed, working condition and model, i got it from a friend, it's a slot-in type)
- one K62 motherboard (not sure about the model, doesn't have AGP slot)
- one P2 motherboard (not sure about the model and working condition, again i got it from a friend)
- one PC-100 64MB SD-Ram
- one PC-133 128MB SD-Ram

I'm thinking of selling it, maybe there's someone out there who are collecting these old parts, who knows. Anyone has any idea about how much these parts are worth. I really appreciate the help, thanks.

Dial-up problem

A friend of mine is having trouble with his dial-up connection. Everytime he tries to dial up a connection on his pc, the dialing stops after a few beeps and starts another dialing attempt. This goes on repeatedly. When he connects his laptop to the same modem, the dial-up process goes smoothly. He then tried his modem on his brother's pc and it didn't show any problems. I assume the problem is on his pc... Anyone one can help troubleshoot this problem? Thanks

17" or 19" ?

19" LCDs are great for gaming, movies and just about anything. But then again, 17" LCDs are not bad either and doesn't hurt your wallet that much.
Just want to know what you people prefer, 17" or 19", with respect to the 'viewing pleasure/price' ratio

Computer Engineering in Local Private Uni

I just finish my STPM, results are not out yet and i'm planning on which local private uni to go to for a Computer Engineering degree course. I need help on choosing the right uni...

Below are my main criterias:
- Employability after graduation / quality of the degree
- Living conditions (i'm looking for hostels which are affordable and offers privacy and security. I'm bringing my PC there, and placing it in a 8-person dorm is not very assuring...)
- Affordable tuition fees, preferebly within the amount of loan from PTPTN

I have two Uni's in mind currently, MMU and UTAR. Any other recommendations and advice?

Want to get a flip phone

I'm planning on gettinga new flip phone. I'm not really a phone junky, just use my phone for calling and msg-ing. I'm looking for something under RM500 which supports chinese fonts, has a camera, can add additional memory, plays MP3s, comes with bluetooth. My priority is in the music playing part. Any recommendations?

P.S. - If possible, i want one that is small and light....

What's the difference between a 945G based mobo and a P965 based mobo?
I'm planning to build a system with the following spec:

- Core2Duo E6400
- Radeon x1950pro
- 512MB DDR2 667 (x2)
- Sata2 160MB HDD
- SB Audigy Value

Which chipset should I get? P965 or 945G?
I'm using it for gaming, not using CrossFire.

I need recommendations on getting a 2.1 speaker. I'm using it mostly for gaming, and occationally for music. I already have two models for consideration, Edifier M3300 and Creative Inspire T3030. Budjet below RM250. Any comments on the two models or any other models? Thanks...

I'm getting a new system for gaming, I know that too good a cpu can be limited by a low-end graphics card, and a good graphics card will face bottle-neck problems with a slow cpu. So do the two items below match each others performance?

Athlon 64 X2 3800+
Radeon x1950 pro

I'm playing games like FEAR, NFS:Carbon, CallOfDuty...(mostly FPS)
The maximum combined price i can afford is RM1400. Any advice?

How much power do i need for the PSU? I'm thinking of using the CoolerMaster 380W PSU that comes with the Centurion5 case, is it enough?
