Canon Printer Problem

I have a Canon ip5200 printer for almost more than 4 years already. For the past 3 yrs, I wasn't in Malaysia, therefore I did not use my printer. Lately, I tried to use the printer & connect to my laptop/PC but my computers cannot detect the printer.

But when I connect the printer to my camera via PictBridge, the printer can detect. Surprisingly, still prints crystal clear picture. This is as if the printer is brand new, still printing in pristine condition. Its just, that when I connect the printer to my computers, it does not detect. I should mention that the PictBridge port is in front of the printer. The USB port to connect to computer is at the back of the printer. Now the problem lies in the USB port located at the back of the printer.

Now, I'm looking for shop to try to fix the back USB port on my printer. I don't wanna go back to Canon because they will cost a bomb. Even looking at the printer cost RM30! So, I'm looking around for some printer repair shops or any LYN members know how to fix this USB port issue. Please share your contacts to help me fix my printer.

*I don't want to buy new printer because this printer prints perfectly*

Mine came off already, so looking for replacement.

Anywhere in LYN I can get it? How bout in the stores? Appreciate your comments.

Restructure Dad's Business

Company background
Family owned pest control and general service business. The main line of the business is pest control. The general service business composed of construction, plumbing, electrical, metal works and other home general repairs. Basically my dad does any kind of service & repair for homeowners. Most of the work are done by my dad & with the help of a worker.

Customer demographics
Most of the pest control customers are regular customers and they on a contract service based. For the general service business, some of the customers are new, references, and regular customers as well. They vary from all age group. Once in a while, we have service contract with big corporates.

The pest control have 2 types of services:
i) One-time service
ii) 1 year monthly contract service

Company type
Sendirian Berhad. Don't have a workshop or office lot. Most of the work are done at home. For instance if someone orders customized metal shelf, it will be done in the back car garage. The equipments are stored at home. Basically its kinda like a home office. Everything is stored & done at home.

Documentation
At this point, everything is on paper. Customer contact is stored in a note book (not laptop). My dad uses A4 paper for his daily appointments & work drafting (when wanna illustrate to customer the metal shelf). Receipts are kept in a folder for filing tax every year. Quotations are done using typewriter & carbon paper.

I am planning to restructure & reorganize my dad's company to be more efficient & more profitable. I would like to do the following:

1. Conputerized the company
2. Saved all the contact in digital format
3. Prepare customized template for all the documentation (i.e quotations, invoice, contract agreement, certificate of warranty)
4. Create/buy some software that can keep track of customers' monthly service contract (as in prompt me when customers' pest control service is due at the end of the month)
5. Create a website that customer can schedule service appointments online & promote different types of service offered
6. Diversify into other online businesses. Probably sell something online.

Please comment. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Hopefully this will be a great start for me if I were to take over the business.

Speakers for your X360

Would like to know what kinda speakers you guys used for your X360 . I'm currently using Pioneer HTS-GS1, official home theater speakers for X360. Wonder if I can buy this in M'sia?

Anyone using Logitech Z5500 for their gaming console? I'm just curious if you're using Z5500 as your speaker system, what kind of input do you select on your Z5500? The reasong I'm asking this is because I'm thinking of getting Z5500 in M'sia.

With the Pioneer system that I have, the audio input from my X360 into the speaker is automatically detected as Dolby Digital input, thus providing a 5.1 experience when you're playing Gears of War or Ace Combat 6. You can actually hear the sound coming from behind. But if I were to hook up Z5500 with my X360, how's the sound like? Does Z5500 automatically detect the audio input as Dolby Digital? I guess this part of the question only can be answered by those who own Z5500 + X360 at home. Please discuss your setting here .

Here is my setting.

This thread is about the "supernatural" experience one ever encountered. Please post your story, experience, or encounter you came across.

I heard from my friend saying that there is an abandoned hospital in Cheras long time ago. Then one night, my friends (I wasn't there) tried to walk into the abandones hosp. Of course, it was filled with lalang & bushes. Then this friend of mine, said somehow they entered the maternity ward. He said he heard baby crying from the hallway and in some of the wards. Freaked by the crying voice, they ran for their lives. This story sounds interesting to me. As much as I love to join them if I have a chance, but I think this is some risky game. Suddenly kena rasuk then very mafan

PLEASE DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS, POST COMMENT OR REPLY TO.
Hi all,

I can't seem to sync my Outlook calendar appointments with my iPhone 3g calendar. I don't know what is wrong. Apparently the calendar appointments sync perfeectly well with my Ipod Nano. But when I try to sync my iPhone calendas with Outlook, it doesn't update the calendar appointments.

Anybody experience this before? I've tried soft reset the phone but it doesn't work. Even Apple customer service also can't help me. I'm really annoyed by the fact that I can't sync my calendar appointments with my iPhone.
