And ive come across Hippo Boom by walabies.
So...before i take the plunge...is there anything else thats on par or better than the hippos?

is there a possibiity of 3-way CrossfireX on the i5 system?
if yes can u suggest me a board that can handle it?

if u r wondering...
my 3-way CfX is juz for eye candy.... not performance...
sincemy rig will only be used for photoshop...and some image manipulation software...and some stupid games..

Hi there people.
My previous problem was solved thanks to the recommendations i received from u people.
The proc is fine but the mobo had some problem.

anyway, i have another prob with another rig of mine.
below is the specs.

e6600
gigabyte ga-965p-ds3
4gb ram KVM
550w mushkin psu
sapphire x1950 256mb

So this is the problem.
When using it to surf net and download, it will restart.
but when i leave it idle...it works fine.
i m so lost. i duno whats the problem.
please help me!

Hi there sifu of Hardware.
I am wondering, how can we know if a processor is dead?
As in KO totally.

Here's the case actually.
I sold off my i7 920 to a friend.
He claimed that the processor died becoz he cant startup his system.
He tested the mobo with the 24pin plug and everything powered on normally.
But when the 8pin cable is plugged in, everything else died.

So please. i need some advice.
what shall i do to help this friend of mine?
also is this an indicator that the proc is dead?
