Just do THREE Internet speed test using different IPs before Monday, you will get to use Singaproxy for a week for no charge. For example, if all test ids are reported before 1/9, free use period will be 1-6/9. Conditions:

1 . Internet speed test must be done using Malaysia ISP for consumer, e.g. Streamyx.
2. You can use Internet connection of your friends and relatives for testing
3. All Internet speed tests must be done using different IP, e.g. A1.B1.C1.D1, A1.B1.C2.D1, A1.B1.C3.D3
4. Submit all test ids to encikwan at encikwan.com before Monday for free use of Singaproxy for the week, e.g. 1/9, 8/9, 15/9, 22/9

My business interpretation
1. Demand for cabs from LCCT is not sufficient to support existing LCCT cabs. However it does not mean overall demand for transportation from LCCT is low. For example, do you want to pay RM 60 cab fare when cost of your flight ticket is RM 60?

2. In Malaysia, if you (independent operator) does not have sufficient profit, you can complain to government.

What is your interpretation from business point of view?

I never experience verbal abuse from Malaysia broadband providers. However my broadband issues in Malaysia are usually responded with lots of 'reasons'.

So which is worst? Verbal abuse or being 'ignored'?

Why Malaysia broadband is more expensive?

For RM 88 or S$37, we get 1Mbps plan (advertised rate) in Malaysia. However for S$35, you can get 8Mbps plan from Singnet (http://www.singnet.com.sg/plans_and_services/broadband/snbb.asp?snbb=8Matl).

So what are the reasons broadband is more expensive in Malaysia?

The usual reason given is Malaysia is bigger, so more costs required for cables and other equipments. This may be true in the beginning.

Another reason given is lack of competition. We may have at least 2 nationwide 3G broadband providers, but we have monopoly for wired broadband area.

Please enlighten me :-)

1. I am using TIME broadband. Download speed for a file in Netmyne data center is lower than download speed for a file in Equinix Singapore data center. According to support engineer from a hosting company, Jaring is ok for Netmyne data center. Why? What happen to Malaysia Internet Exchange?

2. Who control the number of hops between my PC and a server? For TIME, traffic to qala.com.sg goes thru US but not ne.com.sg How to fix route problem?

Celcom broadband : RM68 == no HSDPA

I am a Celcom broadband subscriber. Usually I can get HSDPA connection during daytime. However for the past few days, I cannot get HSDPA connection, e.g. speed < 100kbps. Has Celcom changed the policy that RM68 package subscriber cannot enjoy HSDPA?
