Global Knowledge Network

I need some guidance here from the industry experts regarding various certifications of Project Management Courses. All these while i have been contemplating whether to further my studies to Masters or to take on a Professional Certification. I have decided to go for a Professional Certification Cert, hence, Project Management is the one i have chosen.

I have did some research over the internet and came across PRINCE2 (Project Management) and Global Knowledge Network (Project Management), I do know that PRINCE2 Project Management is highly recognized in UK as well as Internationally, in contrary, the Project Management Courses which has been offered by Global Knowledge Network did not state whether or not its' Project Management certification is of PRINCE2.

As a result of that, my first question is, for those that have taken Project Management courses in Malaysia is Global Knowledge Network Sdn. Bhd the best place to go to?

Given that i am in UK at the moment i could actually take up PRINCE2 Project Management Certification here but the cost of it is phenomenal in contrast with Malaysia.

Global Knowledge Network Sdn. Bhd offers three types of Project Management Courses such as:

A) I.T Project Management
B) Introduction to Project Management
C) Applied Project Management

Knowing that i have just graduated with a Bsc (Hons) Degree in Business Computing (Which is a hybrid course of both Business and I.T), the I.T Project Management fits very well into my area of expertise? I would say not really as all these while i have regarded myself as a Business oriented person rather than I.T.

Therefore, option B and C is the only one left for me. Introduction to Project Management is an Entry Level course for those who are new to it which basically fits me as i am currently a fresh graduate without any practical experiences in handling a project. On the other hand, Applied Project Management is a more in-depth course which caters more towards those that have got practical skills, knowledge and experience in handling a project.

My question here is that, would it be viable for me to jump into Applied Project Management course rather than doing the Introduction course and move towards Applied Project Management.

Secondly, if i were to have this certificate under my belt, what sort of position should i look for? I have seen companies wanting to hire Project Managers as in the experience one's but what about the Entry Level Project Managers? should we or i go for Management Trainee program and work my way up to be in a position of a Project Manager?

I am still very rough on all of these, if there is anything else i should know, kindly enlighten me

Thanks in advance.

Hie there,

I have used Iliberty+ to unlock my Iphone a couple of days back and everything was fine except for the 3rd Party Installer program problem, where people uses it to install 3rd party applications.

I couldn't locate the 3rd Party Installer application at my Homepage, all i saw was the default Iphone Icons and Cydia which is from Iliberty+, may i know if the 3rd party application installer would come hand in hand with Iliberty+ or do i need to install it seperately?

Hey there, i have been using Joomla in designing my website but there's this little problem that i am facing. I need a Newsletter function, though under Joomla extensions there are numerous Newsletter plug-in but most of it needs to be purchase.

Hence, i have came across this newsletter named Letterman, the problem with this plug-in is that i am able to download the module but were unable to download the component as these 2 files are complimentary meaning u need to rely on each other for it to work.

So my question is, are there any other free Newsletters plug-in that is supported by Joomla? would you mind posting the link here. I need it incorporated into my website as a project for my college.
