Hi,

I'm thinking of setting up a forum based on SMF for my alumni. Honestly, I know nuts about all these IT thingy. What I know, I need to register a domain and subscribe for bandwidths from webhosting provider.

- What are the criteria that I should look into? mySQL? Linux based? etc... Just to name a few but I dunno what they are
- How big is the bandwidth that should secure? 10 GB? 20GB?
- Which webhosting company provides the most affordable and reliable package?

I'm very very reluctant and very very sad to let this guitar go. Took me quite sometime, much thought and careful deliberation to reason this sale. It has been my numero uno guitar all these while. Some info about it:

The Schecter C-1 Classic Electric Guitar gives you huge sustain and crunchy tone with premium Seymour Duncan humbuckers, maple neck-thru construction, and a string-thru-body tailpiece with TonePros tune-o-matic bridge. A quilted maple top and intricate vine-of-life fretboard inlay give the C-1 Classic looks to match its tone. The substantial-yet-fast maple neck has a rosewood fingerboard with creme binding, 24 jumbo frets, 25-1/2" scale, and Schecter locking tuners. The mahogany body has natural binding on the top.

Samsung Soul from UK

Guys,

My friend is coming back from UK next week and he's thinking of bringing back a Samsung Soul to be used here. From what he said, the phone has been fixed for usage only with Orange network there. He's asking whether that phone can be used here with any local network like Digi, Maxis or Celcom. He's also said something about "unlocking" the phone. Any advice guys?

I wonder what do u guys use to hold ur headphones. I'm looking for this glass head:

Cool huh? It served the purpose of holding ur headphones, prolong ur headphones' life span (both the headband & foam coz it's life size) & great decor too. Some peeps even put some lights in it. I found from the net that it comes in amber, black cobalt blue & clear glass. Do u guys know where can I get this stuff locally?

Here's my latest recording (incomplete though), based on some ideas that came across my mind yesterday (sorry for the sloppy guitar playing). I still haven't decided whether to make this a ballad song or just kicked in some heavy guitar riffs & grunge/metal up right after the end! Haha!

Before I proceed with finalizing the song, I'd appreciate if you guys could give some comments. I just joined the complicated world of audio recording early this year and the learning curve is very steep for a super-duper noob like me.

Bypassed the Gearbox, just recorded raw electric guitar signal.

FX chain:
JS: Guitar/amp-model (Dumble Overdrive Special - Tweed Deluxe preset)
DX: Sonitus Compressor (Vintage preset - Teletronix LA2A)
DX: Sonitus Reverb (default)

Panning: Center

Track 2 (Guitar - acoustic strum):
Guitar's piezo pickup through Gearbox's Acoustic Guitar preset (Xtra Tone)

FX chain:
JS: SStillwell/stereowidth (default)
VST: ReaVerbate (default)

Panning: 17% right

Track 3 & 4 (Guitar - strum):
Guitar's electric signal (stock pickup - Duncan Designed) through Gearbox's Boulevard preset

No FX chain. Track 3 panned 45% left, track 4 panned 45% right

Track 5 (Guitar - acoustic solo):
Guitar's piezo pickup through Gearbox's Acoustic Guitar preset (Xtra Tone)

FX chain:
DX: Sonitus Compressor (Vintage Mix preset)
JS: SStillwell/realoud (69.2% mix)

Track 6 (drums):
EZdrummer (EZX Pop/Rock). Dragged & dropped the MIDI presets in its library. Just tweaked a lil' bit of its mixer. No FX chain.

Track 7 (bass):
Using the Automatic mode in Bornemark Broomstick Bass VSTi (Chapman Stick). Clicked the notes on the built-in keyboard & recorded MIDI output. The next FX/plugin inline is Ampeg SVX (SVT-4 PRO preset).

Mastering: Auto Audio Mastering System (AAMS). Reference: Modern RMS

Can the Mini DVs be converted into a DVD? Do u guys know who offer the services, including video editing? And how much should i expect to pay?
