Samsung LCD Base Screw MISSING

Dear all,

I have a Samsung 940BW, one of Samsung's older lines of LCDs prior to their shift to blacker, more sleek designs. It is also one of their older models which employ a separate base from the body of the LCD, which is screwed onto the main LCD body by the end-user upon opening the box. The LCD I speak of is as per the following link :

http://www.samsung.com/me/products/monitor...itors/940bw.asp

The screw, that attaches and holds the base to the main body of the LCD, comes together with the base. A couple of days ago, while the family was conducting a bit of a cleanup or 'gotong-royong', the LCD was packed into its box to be set aside, and in the process the screw was somehow detached from the base and lost. As of now the LCD has been reattached to the base, but without any form of binding materials, making it very loose and unstable at the moment. I would like to know whether anyone else here has had similar experiences, and how he/she has managed to live with/overcome the problem. If possible, I seek to locate a replacement screw of the same size, which would require the size of the screw to be pre-determined to ensure a suitable match.

Any help would be most appreciated. I haven't managed to locate any such information online thus far. Thanks

[addedon]August 9, 2009, 2:29 pm[/addedon]Anyone with ideas? Perhaps somewhere I can get the original screw from used LCD recycling parlors?

To those whom it may interest, I've been an Aztech user for a good 6 years now since April 2002 as far as I can remember. It all began with the typical puny Aztech modem that Streamyx shipped with their Streamyx-In-A-Box kit, since then I've used 2 other Aztech routers before this unit, one of which is the direct predecessor of this model, the DSL600EW. Now, why I'm saying this is because I've read quite a number of negative comments and end-user experiences with Aztech's products, some of which are mere boycott statements which originate from the fact that they are used by the heavily-criticized Streamyx DSL service. So, what I want to explain here is, don't jump to conclusions unnecessarily just because people have problems in a similar scenario. Most of these cases are isolated to the minority who were unfortunate enough to receive faulty units, without regard to the even larger percentage of satisfied users.

Having been on their networking products for so long, I have to admit that my personal experience with Aztech has been very much satisfactory thus far. Particularly with the model prior to this one on sale, the DSL600EW. Warranty wise, I've never had to send in either 1 of the 4 modem/routers for RMA. And unlike my trials with a D-Link counterpart (just my personal experience), Aztech did build its routers well enough to minimize heat buildup within the casing over long terms of prolonged 24/7 usage. Even NOW, after 6 years, I still keep the original Aztech modem that came with Streamyx as my spare in event of router failures. The 600EW model, which shares almost everything in common with this unit except one less antenna, lasted me for a good 3 1/2 years without any frustrations before giving in to a relentless lightning strike in mid 2007. As to the matter of why I'm putting this unit on sale and shifted to a LinkSys, basically I was presented with a LinkSys WAG200G by an uncle who strongly recommended trying out the Linux firmware on that particular model, which turned out pretty good. Seeing as it was a gift and a whole new experience to me after 4 years on Aztech, and the fact that having 2 routers would be pointless, I've decided to let this go to someone else who would be able to put it to good use instead of having it choke on dust bunnies under my cabinets.

Thank for reading what I have to say. I'll leave the decision as to the product quality of Aztech's products to you to decide Hope to let this go soon!

My new Asus P5LD2-SE motherboard has been unable to boot up. After many attempts and upon closer investigation, I found out that the Jumper Cap on my Chassis Intrusion I/O Connector was missing.

According to the motherboard manual, this jumper cap MUST be secured on the I/O connector at all times unless the feature is is use (WHICH IS NOT IN USE). Thus, the motherboard will not function until a cap is replaced I am unable to reach even the BIOS setup to disable this feature.

Can anyone here tell me how to overcome this by either giving me an alternative item/material to subsitute the jumper cap or even better, tell me exactly where I can purchase these caps ASAP!! This is urgent as the rig is to be ready in 1-2 days. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

P.S. If anyone here HAS a spare jumper cap lying anywhere, I'd take it for a small sum too, as long as I can get the cap IMMEDIATELY

Hi everyone,

This MMORPG is a non-profit project. It means that we're doing it for gaining experience while learning and working as a team from all over the world. Now, I'm aware that not many people are willing to do this kind of thing for free, so, if you're looking for income, sorry, but I can't help it.

If you have continued to read and sustain your interest, thank you very much. Well, basically what I'm appealing to you guys is to join my development team. Currently, I require

>>> C++ Programmers
>>> Graphics Designers (Photoshop/DirectX/OpenGL)
>>> Documentation Teams
>>> Forum Management Teams
>>> Website Development Team
>>> Support Teams (like a Helpdesk)
>>> Storyline & Quest Planners [NEW]

You don't have to be able to fill in exactly as written above. All I'm looking for are people who can help in those fields above, and who WANT to help develop this game. I'm looking for people who are dedicated and will not bail out after a while.

If you think you might be interested, please don't hesitate to contact me. You can PM me your MSN, Yahoo and/or Skype ID, and I'll get straight to you.

Although you guys won't benefit from this financially, it can serve as an enriching experience for you.

Thanks for reading!

Sincerely,
Timothy
