Hi,

I was browsing through the companies in KLSE's dividend payout history found at The Star Online: Business - Bonus

Gotta admit i'm new on dividends, so i have these phrases which i've came across that i need you guys to derive:

1) 'Interim 1.2� TE'
What does the term 'TE' means? How does this payout different from the non-TEs?

2) 'Final 3% TE'
Based on what value does the 3% pays?

3) 'Final 2.4� TE at trust level'
What does the term 'trust level' means?

Additionally, do these values are post-tax payouts? Thank you.

Tax Structure in Singapore

Hi,

I was about to accept a job in S'pore. My question is:

1) How much would they tax for someone who is not on a PR status there (i.e. someone who has only a work permit there)?

2) How would the tax rate change after we have obtained PR status?

I will be traveling overseas mostly while being based there.

I guess there will be at least some of you who're currently working there. I appreciate your advice. Thank you.

Using Open Source Software

Hello,
I'm actually a noob in open source softwares. I understand that we could download the codes of these softwares and then modifying/or starting to use it.

But the problem is...how do i convert these source does to usable softwares? No i need another software to turn these codes into a usable software? If yes, how could i do that?

Please advise.

Cannot Add Printer

Hello,

I've a weird problem here. After reformatting my laptop n reinstalling Windows XP SP2, i cant add any printer. The 'Add Printer' function doesnt seem to respond at all after i click on it. This also happens to be the same when i click it from the File menu. I cant even open the 'Server Properties' function from the File menu as well.

What could be wrong?

I'm using a Dell 6400 laptop. Please help. Do ask for more info if u need to know more ya.

2.5" Hard Drive

Hi,
I just bought a Hitachi 2.5" Notebook hard disk on intentions of using it as my external drive through a USB adapter.

I can't seem to get it to work even trying with 2 different USB adapters. The task bar shows a message that my USB mass storage is ready to be used but the drive itself doesnt show up in My Computer or Explorer. I've tested it both on my desktop n laptop but the same thing happens.

What could possibly be wrong?

1. Do i need to format the HD? If yes, then how?There's no jumpers came in with the HD too. Do i need to set the jumpers?

2.The USB adapter is spoilt. But it seems unlikely bcoz on of it, i'm using it with my 3.5" HD as an external also.

Please help.

Streamyx Termination

Hi,
I'm planning to terminate my streamyx service at the end of the month. I have some things i need to be clear of, so anybody, please help me.

My billing date is on the 26th every month, so suppose i go and terminate it on the 27th this month, will they charge me for the bill next month as well? Or do i have to end it before the date?
