Here's the big picture. I'm alright with paying for parking in KL at a flat rate of anywhere between Rm5-10 during peak hours or at popular hang out joints at night because I know that the parking rates are stiff in KL. Here's the part that annoys me the most. Every time I back up into some OFFICIAL DBKL assigned parking lot, yeah that means those official spaces with yellow boxes painted nicely, some so called Jaga Kereta guy would appear out of nowhere appear from behind some bushes (yeah, like trying to pounce on me for parking money) and demand an unimaginable sum of money just for parking in his so called "territory"

You see I'm perfectly fine with giving them a couple of bucks just to make sure that my car doesn't get scratched ( yes I know the point is we're not even supposed to give them a single cent, but sometimes you just don't wanna pick fights) or what not, but this @$$hole in Soho KL @ Hartamas demanded a flat rate of RM15 just for backing up into his slot. When he approached me out of nowhere to claim his fee, I was already muttering to myself, " Damn these guys, just wanna pocket some easy money"

Imagine my expression when he said, "Lima belas, duit parking"

I was flabbergasted and so freaking pissed off i muttered under my breath "Gila" and immediately drove my car away really annoyed.

Yeah of course he was staring daggers at me but I couldn't be bothered.

I mean, it really isn't fair to swindle people's money. Just buy some cheap torchlight, shine it around and ask for money, what a terrible way out man.

This also happens at Asian Heritage Row, near Jln Dang Wangi at night. I once went there for a night out, and when i parked my car, he blantly demanded RM10. I told him off, "I bagi pengemis pun lebih senang hati."

Weird overheating problem

Here my peculiar overheating problem. My car is a Proton Perdana 2.0(A) year 2001

Just last week when i was driving on the highway to ipoh, after running at around 120-130 km/h for about 45 mins - 1 hour, the car started overheating. The temperature started climbing on the high side.

I thought there was a leakage because when i opened up the radiator, the water level was very low. After topping it up with water, i started on again moving fast and it wasn't very long before the temperature went up again.

Now here the weird thing, back in KL for city driving, the car is in perfect condition. Went i sent it in to the mechanic for an inspection, there was no leak whatsoever, and the car could be magically driven non stop in traffic jams, city roads without any hassle. Weird thing was the mechanic could not even pin point the problem to me.

What could be the problem guys, thanks.

Remote Transmitter Duplicate

Alright, my perdana's alarm remote is acting b****y again. It seems to be on the verge of breaking down, and sometimes when i press it, it works, sometimes, it doesn't.

Can i ask, where can i make a duplicate of the remote at an affordable low price, anywhere around the klang valley does this? I want a remote which is sensitive, i.e once i press the car disarms.

I know they are a lot of shops out there, but some quoted me cut-throat prices. Where is cheap, thanks.

Help needed, KLIC 7002

Alright here's my problem. I own a kodak v530, and the battery lifespan is driving me nuts. It can hardly last 80 shots, before going flat. Anyway, i've checked the battery model, and it's a KLIC 7002.

I have huge problems finding either the original or compatible battery for my model. It's really hard, i have been trying websites like shashinki, etc, and i fail to find any.

Can someone help me out, either state the approx price and where to find it? Thanks. Name the shop name if possible. I live in the klang valley.

Bluetooth Adapter

Alright here's the problem and i hope u guys can help.

I bought myself a bluetooth adapter (USB) and i plugged it into my computer. I bought it because i need to transfer files from my comp to my handphone. My handphone model is SE K610I.

Alright, they did not give any driver with the package, so when i plugged it in, my windows XP prompted me to install it.

Obviously w/o a driver it could not be installed, and when i try to use my phone to search for the device, it can't locate my USB B/tooth adapter. It does not show in "my computer" also.

Can you guys please help. Thanks

Auto Gear Problem

Alright, here's my problem. I drive a 15 year old Saga 1.5I (Auto) which has been serviced and checked regularly. Recently, a few years back, I sent the engine for an overhaul.

The gearbox also has been changed to a 2nd hand unit, but that was a good 5 years ago alright.

When i start the car in the morning, it's kinda hard for the gears to change from L to 2 to D, as in from gear one to two and three, while in D.

It revs up to about 4-5k rpm, then only it changes with a jerk. But this problem will vanish once the car is heated up, as in the gearbox is already warmed up.

This, i think is a sign of the gearbox wearing out, but it can be that the gearbox oil level is kinda low. I checked and it is barely below the min mark, but anyway i topped it up.

I had this problem actually a few months ago, so I played with the gear ( moved it up and down) and it seemed to self repair itself. Now it's back, should I.....

1. Get the gearbox replaced?
2. Have a mechanic check it first, and then see what he says?
3. Carry on driving until the car gives up, then only opt for a change?

P/s: it only happens when the engine is very cold.

(WTA)Smart Tag Enquiry

Alright, here's the story. Every one here definately knows that the Smart Tag is going for only RM 50 right, so i got myself another one for my other car. (P/s: heard its sold out already, wth?!)

Here's the one with the screen display showing the balance. My old one.

Now, here's the problem. The new one that i just bought, is kinda different, i suppose. There's this sticker like thing blocking the front screen, but the weird part is, i tried peeling it off and urm, it just won't come off. Looks more like that thing is the screen.

If the blue thingy is the screen, means the new version doesn't have the feature for you to check ur balance? Or it's a sticker that i can rip off?

Help plz.

Overtaking

Okay, here goes my story.

I have a friend, let's call him Mr A. He has what i think an absurd crazy style of overtaking.

The story started when we were going on a trip, on the highway. He drives an auto, and was trying to overtake the car infront. Unfortunately, the car infront purposefully tried to block us from overtaking, and Mr A was kinda getting pissed.

In what i would have though it was a crazy thing to do, at about 100km/h, he pushed back the gear lever into Neutral, stepped FULL on the gas until the car redlined and shoved the gear back to D.

Obviously, the car shoved forward like a jet and we managed to smoke that guy.

Wow. I was speechless. In my heart " Damn, they car must have cringed when he did that".

Any experiences to share? Welcomed to do so. Thnx
