burnt 3 in 1 printer and modem warranty

Hi there... today my house had a power surge when i was sleeping and suddenly i hear a pop sound and it was my printer got burnt.... following by adapters (Those adapters that are fat *like modem, wireless phone and laptop*)....

I am not concern about the adapters because it can be purchased back...

But i am concern about my printer.... Its burnt and how can it be fixed??? When it was burning it had a fault smell of 'burn plastic and sausage *ya, sausage*).... If it possible to fix it or its dead for good???

Oh ya, and i want to ask.... does DLink warranty for adapter??? I bought my adapter on july so it hasn't reached one year warranty...

Hi, i had a concert last night and my friend recorded all the event on a camcoder... but the problem is he doesn't have the wire to connect it to the PC.... i have the tape tho... how can i extract the video from the tape to the pc??? Those camera shop do it???

The touch screen issue

Hi, i have a LG Viewty and recently my touch screen go crazy... for example i press the number 5 the screen indicate i am pressing 2... in order to press the '5' number pad... i had to press the area where 8 is... and to get 8 i had to press the end of the screen to get it...

Whats wrong with it???

Lowyat is known for techie stuff and computer things. Lowyat forum is like a geeks.com website but a malaysia one.

We non-techie users sometimes tried to search google and we can't find any answers. We come to lowyat forum and create a thread regarding the problem we are facing.

I notice a lot of member won't give any answer but just nuke the thread starter, go search google.

If google can provide the specific answer for our problem, why have lowyat forum??

I know most of the time answers can be found in google but some user might not have the time to search every thing on google and need a speedy answer. Or they do not have the wide knowledge of 'keyword' to find the solution.

I think that members that post unnecessary "Search google" post should be deleted.

Hi there... i am doing a magazine cover for my college assignment... i found a really cool picture and i did my magazine cover...

Not a pro cover but its just a simple one which i took few photos to put together...

The main girl on the cover is an anime girl which her bust is kinda big.... how to i smaller it? here is the image:

Her bust is like taking up so many space and very disproportional with her body size....

Oh ya, do give me some comment on the cover too... improvement can be done!

EDIT: oh ya, the text at the cover are all made up... not real.

I was driving my mom and i saw a dude speeding on the other side of the lane (on coming lane)... and i told my mom, how if suddenly one car come on the on coming lane and bang him head on, i sure laugh the shit out of me....

then later when we reached the corner... we saw him stopped the car in front of one bike, get down the car and started to kick the biker(motorist to some that dunno what the hell is biker)... we couldn't do anything but i think its all right...

my thinking was these few things:

1. the car driver willing to risk his entire life driving at 80KM/H at the on coming lane to chase a biker that just clip(means knock) his car....
2. The biker has a helmet on... the driver not scare he remove his helmet to whack the shit out of him(the biker whack the car driver)?

whats up with people today??? Just a small clip(knock) also wanna chase people and whack? and moreover, risking his own life driving at the on coming lane to chance him??? i think the car driver has nothing else to do at home...

Cannot fully uninstall M$ office trial

Hi, on my laptop there is a trial version. I wanna uninstall it but cannot. i tried so many ways now i manage to remove the office but at add and remove program, m$ office is still there... i tried to uninstall it but it tells me its corrupted and whatever crap. i reinstall it to uninstall also cannot.

I tried using microsoft tutorial to manually remove it also cannot... help!

i am on vista using office 2007.

EDIT: damn microsoft, make uninstalling a program like end of the world...

cannot file share or even disable it...

Hey, i used to be able to file share (1 week ago) but dunno why now cannot... i wanted to like reset it, disable and reenable it... but cnanot disable... i cannot even rename the folder anymore... screenshot:

i tried to disable my windows firewall but also cannot work... ..

But funny thing is when activate file sharing, windows xp sure got one shared document created by default de right... that one can access but the one i wanted to share cannot access anymore....

Something wrong with my pc connecting to the net

Hi there... yesterday i have been experiencing a slow connection on my desktop but at my laptop is just fine... i am able to load facebook and google without any problem on my laptop but when i load it on my desktop... its display server not responding/server not found or it just load the page without images...

Only way for me to load the page is constant reload or refresh the page...

I also notice that firefox cannot even connect to the site because when a website is connected, at the status bar at the bottom, firefox will indicate saying transferring bla bla... but now firefox just gives a respond looking up... that means firefox cannot even find the website/not connected properly...

MY cpu makes my house power trip

Hi there... my house today power trip 4 times straight after i turn on my pc (desktop)... I am assuming the trip is caused by my CPU... any tip of which part should i look in my CPU to find the cause of this trip? My guess is either the power supply or the power supply wire...
