It's not surprising that the expansion maintains the excellent unit balance and exciting presentation that the series is known for. Still, while the new Asian civs are enjoyable, the campaign lacks some of the drama and variety that we'd hoped to see.

Full Review

More ScreenShot

Windows Hidden Theme Black Noir

Ever want to make ur luna bar like vista black bar??? well this is the answer

Taken frm Hidden XP Theme

QUOTE

    During Royale's development (the XP Media Center theme), the graphic artists also produced a black version of the skin, sans the overused "glass" effect. The result is an aesthetic black skin named "Royale Noir", it even works with Office 2003.

    Since the skin was never released (or reached final adjustments) there are a few issues with it: some of the colors don't meet the overall "feel" (they're too purple-ish compared to the greys of the bitmaps) and the inactive titlebars are a little too dark.

    You'll find it's been signed by Microsoft and doesn't require a custom UxTheme.dll in case there are any doubts as to its authenticity.

    If you already have Royale installed, you'll need to remove it as both of these skins share the same name.

    This skin has not been released to anyone outside Microsoft, until now.

Download Royale Noir

More Screenshot

Make ur Windows Lite

Maybe some of the forumers know bout tis sw ... cos now if for XP have like ver 1.4 beta, for vista 1.1 beta.
Been using nlite for awhile now customizing my xp oso my server 2003. Last time installed a lite ver of server 2003 on my old p3 wz 320meg of ram. Still running great wz not stressing the performance.

Try it ... recommended to all

QUOTE

Have you ever wanted to remove Windows components like Media Player, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, MSN Explorer, Messenger...
How about not even to install them with Windows ?

nLite is a tool for permanent Windows components removal and pre-installation Windows configuration. After removal there is an option to make bootable image ready for burning on cd or testing in virtual machines.
With nLite you will be able to have Windows installation which on install does not include, or even contain on cd, the unwanted components.

Features

    * Service Pack Integration
    * Component Removal
    * Unattended Setup
    * Driver Integration *
    * Hotfixes Integration **
    * Tweaks
    * Services Configuration
    * Patches ***
    * Bootable ISO creation

* - Textmode (CD Boot) and normal PnP
** - hotfixes with white icons, *KB*.exe, including update packs
and Internet Explorer 7
***- supports generic SFC, Uxtheme, TcpIp and Usb Polling patching.

nLite supports Windows 2000, XP x86/x64 and 2003 x86/x64 in all languages.
It needs .NET Framework 2.0 in order to run... Check if you have it already, maybe on some of your CDs before downloading if your connection is slow.

as for Vlite

QUOTE

vLite - Vista Lite

vLite is a tool for customizing the Windows Vista installation before actually installing it.

Main features are:

    * hotfix, language pack and driver integration
    * component removal
    * unattended setup
    * tweaks
    * split/merge Vista installation CDs
    * create ISO and burn bootable CD/DVD

Windows Vista from Microsoft takes a lot of resources, we all know that. vLite provides you with an easy removal of the unwanted components in order to make Vista run faster and to your liking.

This tool doesn't use any kind of hacking, all files and registry entries are protected as they would be if you install the unedited version only with the changes you select.

It configures the installation directly before the installation, meaning you'll have to remake the ISO and reinstall it. This method is much cleaner, not to mention easier and more logical than doing it after installation on every reinstall.

For more info & dload

Nlite

VLite
