Problem with video playback

You see, I just completed my new rig with the following specs:

Intel Q9300
4GB RAM
120GB IDE HDD X 2
250GB SATA HDD
750GB SATA HDD
650watt CM eXtreme PSU
nVidia Quadro NVS285

Before this problem occur, I am using nVidia Quadro FX 4500.

When I watch anime from my 250GB SATA HDD, RANDOM timing it will crash, hmm how should I put it, let say the full screen video playback (using Media Classic Player to play my MKV/AVI files) becomes hairwire, but the sound will continue to play. in terms of hairwire it becomes distorted, as if video file is corrupted. Oh and, its color distorted

then if quickly alt+f4, desktop also distorted, computer hanged, then restarted, if not, BSOD which contains random messages.

Normally in the morning, it will took me around 40mins to crash, then if I restarted and continue watching it, within 2 mins the screen distorted.

Not sure if its the graphic problem though. but who can suggest me what's the problem source?

But I'm sure its not the hardware problem, i play portal and it doesn't crash, portal is more graphic intensive than a normal video playback, what should I do?

EDIT: I am using Windows Vista Ultimate by the way.
