Hey there guys... Some goodies to share...

1) Vista Visual Master - THE Tweak UI for Vista, or rather, some interesting Vista customization options that include:
- Custom Icons for EVERYTHING (tested on SP1 - screws up your bluetooth gadget icons a bit on Explorer though)
- Custom Bootscreens / Log-On screens (Log-On screen modding tested on SP1)
- ThemeUI.dll patching (NOT TESTED ON SP1, don't try, get proper SP1 patcher from HERE )
- Other stuff to tweak!

Some issues for SP1 machine though... Google first before using... Get it HERE ...

2) Wallpaper Slideshow LT - Wallpaper autorotation for Vista, the best I've used so far. Low memory consumption (as long as you don't open the settings screen - if you do, shut it down and restart the app) and it plays nice with alternative shells + Vista SP1 easy...

3) Switcher - Expose using the DWM's life update... Not lightning fast with the latest Nvidia drivers (fast with the stock factory one somehow), but more then usable on my lappy...

4) 3RVX - OSX like, skinnable volume indicator... Eats around 4 megs of Ram most of the time, for those of you, who - like me - are a bit "malas" to make up another autohotkey script for a Vol Control OSD...

Anybody still using Axims?

Hey there guys, its been a while since I last posted in here (even my M1210 thread is in shambles, I need to go rescue it quick!)... The reason being is that I... well... had my final exams. As always, exams will usually cause me to do strange unbelievable things; and in this semester's case, I went PDA crazy.

Annnnnnd, to cut a long story short, the craziness ended with a second hand Axim x51v. This leads me to wonder, with it being sold second hand left and right, is anyone still holding on to their little engines that could (the x50v and the x51v - after all, they ARE one of the most powerful pure PDA's around, at least until the IPAQ 210 is released here, if ever... )?

Or has every Axim user in LYN succumbed to the lure of smartphones (or, god forbid, the Iphone)?

I'm currently considering a 16GB-32GB CompactFlash for my Axie-Tan and loading unconverted DIVX/xVID Anime and Movies into it as the Axim is more then capable of playing back full size DIVX/xVID files with little slowdown (at least over here with WM6). Couple that with a 32GB SDHC, and you've got 64GB of stuff that fits in your pocket, with a VGA screen to boot!!

Granted, that pocket should be money-dry after buying small pieces of flash memory devices that are more expensive then the Axim itself...

So, anybody here still using their Axims?

Hey guys, nVidia's releasing the mobile version of the 8800 on Nov 19 it seems... And Dell seems like they're gonna provide upgrade kits for those already running 8700GTs (unofficial upgrade kits through ebay anyway)... 8800GT SLI? Talk about gaming goodness, without the associated "oh-I-already-brought-the-8700GT-XPS-1730s" regrets...

Magic Formation: New, lightweight circular dock!

I dunno if anybody posted this already, but here's a new, very interesting circular dock from the guy that brought us WinFlip... MagicFormation!

It is very light on system resources (500k-1MB with the "save physical memory" option checked), very smooth, is very versatile (multiple selectable pages - much like a tabbed dock, system tray functions, customizable PNG icons, customizable layout - straight like a normal dock or the default orbit) and can be started with a mouse gesture (really intuitive stuff here guys) or a keyboard shortcut... It will also suspend itself when it detects a game running (tested with Half-Life 2 Episode 2)...

The only problems are it uses the ugly icons straight from the exe you're pointing it at if no custom icons are specified and the animations are not customizable (only the default magnify animation available)... And make sure to turn off the "use skin images for icons" under the Icons tab in options to get rid of the ugly bubbles that ring your icons...

People... Thanks for all your help in making this thread as lively as it is! We are currently still in need of:

1. More tips and tricks (ones exclusive to the W810i would be good)
2. History of the W810i (if anyone can find it)

I don't really see this manga/anime being mentioned much around here (or around anywhere to be exact... only found a few forums talking about it), which is a shame because (at least for me), it's the best craziness this side of Haruhi (both the Suzumiya one and the Ouran one)...

Anyone else here read the manga yet and like it enough to be salivating at the 9/7 launch date (while secretly hoping that Gonzo doesn't butcher the story up too much)?
