Just get this great mobo from bulk and power it up today.

some issue rgds this mobo

1. northbridge cooler have warranty sticker.once remove consider void warranty

2. PWM cooler design prevent my TRUE 120 from rotate in different direction

but then the bios really have many tweak options, good for ocer/tweaker to try out.

nice UV reactive effect under uv light

other's from DUO bulk do you all have any problem installing the cpu cooler?

8800GTS running SLI questions.

I was looking to add another 8800GTS in my system, which my mobo can support SLI in 16X mode.(my mobo asus a8n32sli-deluxe).
My question will be, can i earn more out my system for gaming?
I'm using Asus 8800GTS, can i 'SLI' it with other brand of 8800GTS? say, BFG or Galaxy 8800GTS?
My asus 8800GTS was running with default core/mem frequency, so if i SLI it with other brand card, (which is a pre-overclock card)
Will i face any problem? how about software install if i do that.

anyone who have used this mobo (Asus a8n32sli deluxe) while doing SLI, pls help.

Not ACPI Compliant when install winXP

i have this problem when trying to install Windows XP sp2 on my system
the error message also state that i have the BIOS that not ACPI compliant,
and i can't continue install windows.

I have not encounter this problem when using WinXP SP1.

Anyone have anything to solve this?

Below are my rig spec:

AMD Opteron 170 (rev E) 2.0Ghz
Asus A8N32SLI Deluxe BIOS 0703 12/05/2005 (anyone have any ideas how to flash BIOS??)
Corsair 3500LL PRO 2X1GB DDR1
Maxtor 80GB SATA 1
Enermax Liberty 620W

what the ACPI do actually? can i just ignore this and continue my installation?

I'm working out an AMD system which have below items.

DFI LP UT NF3 Ultra-D S939
Gskill 2X1GB PC3200
His X1950Pro AGP
Maxtor 80GB X2 Raid O

my concern will be AMD processor.
i have below in my mind:-

1.Opty 146 or Opty 148
2.AMD X2 3800+
3.AMD 3200+

do u guys have any experience about this nf3 mobo and how good
it will couple with these AMD processor.

pls help me to choose which processor is the best for gaming.

do u guys have DIY your own Fan Controller before?
It's a linear type or a more complicated PWM type.
anyone have the Circuit pls share it here as i'm planning to build

OCZ DDR Booster

Hi all,

i'm thinking of getting a OCZ DDR Booster .
my Corsair ram 512X2 C2PT V1.3 Winbond Utt need more voltages.
i'm using Abit IC7 , Acbel 450W Ipower PSU (with 24pin).

some doubt here,

can the Booster used in my system? i mean can it directly be used in my system and gain extra volt for my Vdimm?

i had run thru the OCZ website , it state that PSU with 24pin can't used the booster,
but since i had a converter (24 to 20 pin converter) , can i just used it?????

and for those Abit IC7 user out there, can you gain any extra voltage by just using the booster and without any Volt Mod on the MOBO. i don't want any MOD on my MOBO for the time being.

I'm using P4 S478 2.8E HT 800Mhz.
i have a chance to exchange this Chip with 2.4C (800Mhz HT northwood), 3.0E (800Mhz HT), and 3.2C (HT 800Mhz northwood) without any charges.

my question will be which chip suits me better?
i'm a frequent gamer with NFSU, Unreal, LOTR and other 3D games.
i'm currently running my 2.8E with KVR 512X2 and some overclock from
2800Mhz to 3500Mhz without problem.

what impact will i have for changing the chip.
is it a good ideas for me to downgrade from Prescott to Northwood? The FSB for all the chip is 800Mhz. the changes for me will be just the temperature drop a bit.
need fellow forumer advise before this changes.
