suggestion for my home network

hi guys

im using an Aztech 600EW (adsl modem + 4port router + wifi)
im just using one port for wired connection,connect it to my desktop
my father laptop using wireless connection with his dlink pcmcia

today my dad bought a linksys wmp54gs wireless network card for his desktop
but he got problem with his connection
its hard to get connected...and when it did,the speed was so slow
im not sure if its got something to do with streamyx sucky connection nowdays

but the desktop pc seems struggle to get connected to the network
the wireless connection seems so slow....esp to my father desktop

my fathers laptop n desktop located in his office room
while the modem/router/wifi is located in a room next to it
there are about 2 walls separating this 2 rooms

what would u guys suggest to improve my home network ?

i heard bout using a repeater or booster ?
can u guys recommend some good product ?

hello guys

i want to know if there are any software who can do the same thing like Windows Media Player

wat i mean is...
we drag & drop some video files in the playlist column
then the player just play all the video till the last file

my father notebook having some problem with latest version of WMP like version 9 & 10

so i would like to know if there are other player which offer such option
n maybe using less memory ?

hello guys
i got a question in my mind

can we repair a modem,router or access point which was strucked by lightning ?

my home network setup was hit by lightning
now i got these 3 faulty items
wondering if i can repair it

anyway its out of warranty period too
