Extracted from ZDnet : http://www.zdnet.de/enterprise/mac/hardwar...192217-1,00.htm

I haven't tried on mine, but the entry level of current Mac Pro with a 2.80 GHz processor (RM10,299/-) can runs significantly faster after overclocking than the most expensive at 3.20 GHz (RM16,799). The price difference between these two machines is RM6,500/-. So any risk takers?.

Is Cinema Display Categorized under Accessories?

I need some clarification from Mac Gurus/expert here :

1) I have a Machines Membership Card which entitled me to get 10% for all Apple Accessories and 2% discount for Mac products.

2) I just bought Apple Display ( categorized under Accessories as stated in their website : http://www.machines.com.my/Membership.php ) from this Machines KLCC outlet and only entitled 2% discount. Before I lodge an official complaint, I need some advice from Mac experts here. Is Apple Display categorized under Mac or Apple Accessories?

My point is, even US APPLE STORE categorized the Cinema Display as MAC ACCESSORIES http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop...ays?mco=MjY0NTQ

I guess the Machines website is really MISLEADING

For Intel Mac Mini owners perhaps this will be good for them ----> http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=91459.

As the processor in the iMac "Core Duo" is mounted on a ZIF socket, which makes upgrading the processor is also possible :

http://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/2006/0117/imac29.jpg

http://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/2006/0117/imac27.jpg

http://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/2006/0117/imac23.jpg

http://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/2006/0117/imac26.jpg

http://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/2006/0117/imac01.htm

Remarks : Unfortunately, the Graphic Card is embedded on to the motherboard which makes it impossible to be upgraded.

Any daredevils out there who willing to try overclocking their Ati Radeon X1600 may visit this : http://www.spacetitox.info/graphicoc/graphicoc.html.

Do at your own risk as it may invalidate your Mac warranty!!!.

I have tried mine on my Imac with fastastic results. For MacBook Pro owners pls think twice due to its slim design and heat issue.

Cherious!!!
