why connection dropped...?

This situation happens only after I share the internet connection, before this everything went smooth, 3-4days on with no dc...

Then after I install a networkcard(smc) then setup my pc and my fren's pc to share the connection, I use the windows dialer to connect, then the internet connection is dropped after 2minutes.. or a lil longer... the icon for "connected" still there but when click on it, the status juz blink out then gone... when go for ipconfig, it shows "0.0.0.0" at wan ip... modem light all on like normal, not bllinking also...

then after like hundreds restart, i thought of using the modem as the router, so i use browser and go 192.168.1.1 login, then key in my login ID, PW, then it got connected and the connection go on as usual...

anyone know why i my connection is dropped after few minutes if I use windows to dial the connection? and i am sorry if i miss out any details, please do tell me and i will post up...
