Boost lower than normal

Hi guys,
I drove a kancil converted to L5 turbo engine. During idling to 1st and 2nd gear, i manage to get 0.8bar of boost (standard tuned).
But then after the 3rd gear and so-on, i can hear "windy" noise, kinda like aircond blower sound whne i floor the pedal and found out that the boost can only reach 0.5bar, sometimes even lower (vacuum) even tho i floor the pedal pretty hard. Then, throughout the whole journey, (even tho when im using 1&2nd gear), i still cannot reach standard boost unless i stop the car, turn off the engine and start again.. but then, as mentioned, i can only reach 0.8bar after the 1st and 2nd gear and then the cycle continues..

Anyone experienced this before? fyi, i'm using standard turbine (rhf3)..no modification done, just standard turbo engine, standard bov. I did search for info in the web regarding this and some says maybe its the actuator problem. Question is, how much it will cost shud i need to replace it?

Please help..

Guys.. last week my wife involved in a terrible accident. fortunately she survived. She was driving hyundai getz and was rammed directly onto the driver's side (her side) by a fast moving naza ria mpv, leaving her with minor internal injuries and mild concussion and got warded for a week.. fortunately she was ok and recovered soon after.
so, i am now loking to get another car for her..but this time, safety first..i really need to get her a very safe car to drive, really dont want the same thing happen to her again.. meaning a car which can give high protection on the occupant inside, and at the other hand, not too pricey.. i was glad i bought getz for her.. that 4 out of 5 star NCAP rating was actually good for something.. however, i dont think i can afford to get another getz for her (besides, i really want to try other brands too..hehe.).. so i was thinkg to get a car which cost less, a used car, with a considerably good safety features, ez on fuel, and at a cost of less than RM35k.. any suggestion? i thank u for ur help in advance.

Dont know if this is the right place to ask..
Guys, i need I have a tokina AF 28-70mm f2.8-4.5 lens which i fit to my fuji s2 body without problems. Been using it for many times ady until last week i decided to sell it and go for nikkor lenses instead.. however, last nite as i was dealing with the prospect buyer, and as we tried the lens to his D70 body, problems occurs.. It seems that at the widest zoom range (28mm), the aperture wont go down to f2.8. It only manage to go as low as f3 only.. Same problem occur with the tele end (70mm) where the max aperture only manage to go to f4.8 and not f4.5 as it supposed to be...

i tried this lens again to my fuji body but it works beautifully without problems, behaving as it shud be. i was confused.. so, just wondering if there are such lenses which is only made exclusively for fuji body which cant be fully utilised to nikon bodies. bcos afaik, fuji uses nikon mount lens and that's it.. even the fuji body itself is a rebadged (and some changes to the sensor) nikon body.. To all sifu, please enlighten me abit... Nikon users who lived nearby me, i wud really appreciate if u could help me by testing this lens to ur nikon body.. most of my friends use canon..

Photography Competition: Best Animal Shots

I am always fond of animals, especialy pets.. I've captured many pics of animals which I think is good in my own "syok sendiri" opinion.. I am hoping that some of u guys here have some good animal shots that u can share with us. Yes, I need it becos I'd like to see what level I really am in taking animal pics. I was hoping that I am at the lower level than most of u guys here so that I can improve myself.. so hereby, without further ado,
I present, the new topic/theme for our photography competition : Gimme Your BEST Animal Shot!

Some guidelines to follow (I didnt have the previous guidelines from the last competition to copy and paste it right here, so i was hoping that if u guys have anything necesary to add to this guidelines/rules, please do so..):

1) Only picture taken after 27th May can be submitted, this competition will end on 15th June 2008 at 00:00am.
2) Take any pics of any animals as you wish (pets/wildlife/livestock/caged/free-roaming) of land animals (MAMMALS, BIRDS or REPTILES ONLY)..
3) One entry per person
4) No hanky-panky HDR/surreal photo editing should be done to ur photo
5) As usual, basic post processing is allowed : levelling, contrast, saturation, sharpening etc..
6) You are allowed to use digital still camera only ( dslr, compact etc..) except the vga camera phone!
7) Insects/athropods/fishes/amphibians (frogs, salamander etc) pics cant be included.. Just land animals (MAMMALS, BIRDS or REPTILES ONLY)..
8) Photo taken must be originally yours, not copied from other sites/sources.
9) Rules and guidelines is subject to change whenever i felt necessary or as suggested by forum members

Judging criteria:
1) Good composition of pics (the animal behavior, "cute-ness" of the creature)
2) Good technical (exposure, focus)
3) A bit of PP to make the pic outstanding/strengthen the pics compo/technical (convert to BW, sharpness..etc.)

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Ok guys, feel free to submit any animal pics that u took after May 27th.
You may submit your photo first and change it to newer ones if u feel that the 1st one u submitted isnt good enuff. But all must be before 15th June 2008.
But, if u plan to do this, please substitute your new photo with the current one u already submitted, instead of posting it in a new post.
The reason is, I'm hoping to get a really "cream de la cream" of your collection. Dont worry, i wont be selling them..

OK GUYS.. I have a surprise announcement to make, I have an extra 2 pairs (thats 4) Panasonic OXYRIDE AA Batteries and I intend to give it away to the winner of this competition.. I guess now we should call this a CONTEST instead of COMPETITION rite? hehe..
The batteries are used unit, but I only used it as backups for my external flash. Maybe less than 3 times only, and even that, I only used it for less than 50 shots.. So, I guarantee it can still survive for at least 100++ shots.. Good as backups anyway. So now:

A3 printers. Anyone using it? How much?

Hi guys. I'm looking for (surveying the price) A3 printers in the market nowadays. Anyone heard a good deal for this printers (new or used)? where i can get one and how much did u paid for them? better still... anyone want to offer his/her A3 printer to me?

My budget is around less than RM1k (is there any?). Will be using it for printing A3 sized papers(of cos la..hehe..), posters etc.

The "lil' green box" aka AUTO mode on ur DSLR

Hi.. I need ur opinions here regarding the AUTO mode on the DSLR/prosumers..
Most of us bought dslr/prosumers for the extensive manual mode shootings and for the freedom of choosing the right tv,av,iso,metering and all of those combinations.. I know that u adjust tv/s: when u want the sense of movement of ur subject, av: getting the right bokeh..and yada yada yada.. but, what bout the AUTO mode? Does anyone here use AUTO mode anymore? Is it good enuff for normal shootings eg: landscape/normal group potrait etc?

I'm asking this because once in a while, I also use this mode and found out that its pretty good too.. But, it seems that each and evry one who owns DSLR/prosumers with manual controls, most of them will ditch the auto mode and gone manuals..and of cos, to avoid being scolded because : "why u buy a dslr when the only/most of the shooting mode u use is AUTO?".. so, back to my question : is AUTO mode good enuff for most shots? if not, then why its there on ur camera at the 1st place?.. Lets discuss..

Oh ya, just to mention, a friend of mine who owns a dslr uses AUTO mode almost all the time for landscape/potrait+flash and most of his pics turn out to be quite good.. (with additional touch-ups in PS of cos..) ..hehe..
