The International Medical University (IMU) is planning to offer a chiropractic programme in the near future. The university will be offering the first and only complete chiropractic educational programme in Malaysia, as well as in all of Southeast Asia. Students can graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in chiropractic in 4 years, followed by a 1 year housemanship. Graduates are eligible for registration under Malaysia’s Traditional and Complementary Medicine Act.

The proposed IMU Chiropractic programme is designed to prepare the student for success as a chiropractic physician at an international level, . in accord with Accordingly, the IMU will apply for accreditation through the Councils on Chiropractic Education Australasia soon after the programme begins. International. Graduates of the programme will become well versed in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of human conditions, with special emphasis on the musculoskeletal system, including the spine. Chiropractors have many career options and may choose to practice in a private or group setting or seek employment in a variety of private, educational, and (in some countries) governmental roles. Many chiropractors pursue specialties within the profession, such as orthopedics, neurology, nutrition, diagnostic imaging, and sports chiropractic.

“This is a great development for our university, reflecting our commitment to meeting the needs of healthcare professionals in our region. The programme consists of four years of academic and clinical training, followed by a one-year housemanship. It is a very innovative degree, and an exciting one for IMU. This degree will significantly enhance the programmes offered in IMU, both academically and in terms of student life,” said President of IMU, YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Dr Abu Bakar Suleiman.

it is kind of weird to me that malaysia is going to start a chiropractic degree. after all, chiropractic is still considered complementary and alternative treatment to me and it is not that famous in malaysia.

IMU is starting lots of new courses recently, parents better start watching their wallet.

new PSD scholarships next year

UTRAJAYA: A new category of Public Service Department (PSD) scholarships will be introduced next year based purely on merit, regardless of race.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said he was sure that such a category would be welcomed by all communities, including the Chinese.

“We are restudying the distribution of scholarships under the Public Service Department scheme to introduce a new category.

“We will announce it next year and with the plan to limit the Sijil Pelajaran Malay-sia to 10 subjects, we expect to see a more level playing field,” he said in his speech at a dinner organised by the MCA and the Associated Chinese Chamber of Com-merce and Industry Malaysia here yesterday.

Najib said this would allow Malay-sia’s best students to receive aid to pursue higher studies.

“So the best of the best and the creme de la creme will get aid for higher studies.

“I believe this will be accepted well and it will allow each individual a fair chance to realise his full potential,” he said, adding, however, that he was not “letting the cat out of the bag” just yet about the scheme.

i want to know where is the nearest branches of Immigration Department?

what is the cheapest or convenient way of transportation to get there?

i think is immigration department that issue new passport right.

segi college is starting a pharmacy course this september. twinning with university of sunderland of uk. 2+2 .

not much information available on the website of segi but they are pretty sure starting it this september.

got the approval but i not sure whether it is recognised by uk or out government or not but a full degree completed in sunderland is recognised by our government.

dont know why they are not promoting heavily on it at the moment. any idea?
