Puspakom Test

I drive a 1973 VW Beetle passed down to me from my cousin and it's time to renew the roadtax. Later I found out that my car had been blacklisted for some reason, and it turned out that my cousin tried to sell the car previously. The ruling was that you have to pass Puspakom inspection before you can transfer the ownership. I wasn't sure of the test outcome, but it didn't manage to pass due to engine endorsement (the car had an engine swap years back and it didn't come with any official documents).

So after a bit of consultation here and there I have to get the engine endorsed first. The engine swap was done years ago, even before my cousin got the car so the documents are probably gone. Without these documents, is there a way to endorse the engine?

After that, there's the inspection issue. If it still fails due to other circumstances, will they compound my car? Also, they mentioned that since everything is now computerised, those 'people' will charge me more to get a pass.

Anyone with good advice on what to do?

I've been trying to solve this problem for quite a while already. Whenever I plug my PC to an extension cord (the one which splits to a few sockets, not the small hand-sized one) it randomly shuts off after a period of time. However, when I plug it to a wall socket, the PC goes on with no problems.

The PSU is definitely not at fault here, nothing is sharing with the extension cord, and I have an AVR in between the PC and power socket. Removing the AVR does not help the problem either. Small power draw appliances such as handphone chargers and laptop chargers seems to work fine uninterrupted.

Does anyone have at least of an idea to fix this?

Swapping a new head unit for my Beetle

Hi there, first of all I'm an ICE noob and I have no prior experience in fixing anything on my car. Any mistakes seen here, feel free to correct them.

I have a 1963 Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle, aka the Love Bug, and I got it with a few soup-ups, which the ones that are involved are two ordinary speakers (the ones behind the heads of the rear seat passengers), two tweeters in front of the dashboard, a modified dashboard to accept standard head units (it's called a DIN I think) and a subwoofer behind the passenger seats.

The car came with the existing head unit dead and I don't have much budget, so I managed to get a head unit from a Kelisa to swap with the old one. The problem is, the head unit from the Kelisa doesn't seem to use the standard wiring seen in many online guides, and I'm trying to plug it in as a temporary solution till I get something better. I can't find any documentation on the Kelisa head unit, and I'm not sure what do the colors from the wires represent.

Any advice or information would be much appreciated. Thanks!

To be honest, others have already came up with such a design in the first place, which I merely edited to suit. Forget about the sleeves, it was intentionally left there for in-case purposes.

Sorry for the lack of updates guys, but the shirts are finally here Regrettably, there are a few mistakes on the shirt which I must apologize beforehand. The design on the front was mirrored, a mistake by my printer which I can't explain how that could happen in the first place. In any way, Cirno still looks great on it, so I hope it's not a problem for you guys.

Also, two of the 3XL shirts accidentally got splattered in ink during the printing process, so due to that my printer would be gladly replacing it this coming Thursday(23rd of April). For those who ordered the 3XL size, I will send them off immediately once I get the remaining ones. Again I ask for your patience, and sorry for the inconvenience.

I should be able to send off the current Cirnos and your tracking numbers via PM off to you guys by this Saturday, and will arrange a meetup for those who want to pick them up. It will probably be at Sunway Pyramid and on a weekend, but the time has yet to be decided.

As ReACT FT is kind of obsolete by now, this thread will be a gathering spot for Malaysian MBAC Ver B PC players.

Get the latest patch for MBAC PC here, direct from Ecole's website.

Latest netplay program for Melty Blood Act Cadenza Ver B PC by mauve: here. Includes various improvements from the previous MBCaster from Tropsy. Enjoy folks!

You will need Hamachi to do netplay with most players, but players can connect via their real IPs for a slightly faster connection or to resolve issues. Port forwarding is a must when you use the latter choice.

There aren't many players in Malaysia, unlike our neighbouring countries such as Singapore, Thailand and Philippines. Here's a few channels on Hamachi to get started, as of 9th September 2008:

Transferring Windows XP to a new hard drive

I have a PC which has an Windows XP installation in an old slow hard drive. The problem is, I want to move the said Windows XP installation to another faster drive, which is also on the same computer without installing a fresh Windows XP into the new drive and running Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.

Is there any way I could do this?

Repairing my Dreamcast

Radeon 9600 PRO Overclocking

I recently overclocked my ATI Radeon 9600 PRO, from stock speeds of 400MHz Core and 300MHz Memory, to 480MHz Core and 330MHz Memory, using ATI Tray Tools.

The problem is, I do not see any performance increase in any tests, example 3DMark2001SE and 3DMark2003.

I initially thought that the card was clock-locked, so I tried using the Softmod drivers, which allows me to overclock the card. Still, nothing changed. Finally, I flashed my video card BIOS to set it to the overclocked speed by default, but there is still no performance changes or whatsoever.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Thanks!
