New update and a change.

Update 04/10/09
I'm currently on extended leave and away from office and HM. Past 2 months I been trying to forget her. But I can only tell you I miss her more and more every passing day.

Firstly, I want to say that I heed some of the advise given. I listened to David DeAngelo & made changes to my negative habits. Thanks for those suggestions given.

I know alot told me 'it's just a tree in a whole forest'/'one fish in the ocean'/'lots of girls around'. But I'm the type believes that if you love only the one person 100%, the love will be returned and that's all I need, that we care of each other. <-- This is what kept me going.

You guys let me know if you still wants to support me. If so, I'll consult with you guys for a better way to execute before doing it. To start, her birthday will be coming up in 10 days time.

Parameters that I'm on currently:
1. Zero contact for over a month. We both been avoiding each other before that.
2. Not possible for interpersonal contact for the next few weeks. No calls/sms.

So, I'll be sending her a birthday card. These are the cards I bought. In my shoes, what will you write/not write and which card you'll choose?

Dear CC regulars,

I'm in need of a place where I can seek advise when I come across barriers. Please lend a hand to a love-stuck LYN member.

Background
I am 29 this year and haven't have any GF before. In my teens, I am told to establish a career first before love. I don't drink, smoke, nor gamble. Naturally, I'm of a more reserved character.

She's 24 this year, single, working in the same department. She's living with her parents and her only brother always drives her back from work, she usually waits for an hour before her brother arrives. We end at 6pm but usually work until 7-8pm at night. I'll put her as 'HM' for this thread.

Ok, so what happened so far?
Pre 02/06/09
- Nothing much. I have been working with this company for 2 years & she's been around for 9 months. Maybe as time goes by, I started noticing her character/personality that's like a perfect combination.

Friday night 12/06/09

Tonight we had a farewell dinner for two leaving colleagues. HM couldn't make it for the dinner due to a night scene photoshoot session. About 9:30pm, we went to have drinks at one of the clubs near Heritage Hotel. I sms her asking if she'll come and there's no reply, so I have to get a male colleague to call her. He said she'll be coming, so I waited. While waiting, one thing I relearned is I hate the smell of alcohol. I couldn't drink, just wetting my lips with it. I couldn't dance or get into the beat either, standing like a stick.

HM and another female colleague come about an hour after. I was actually waiting outside as I don't belong in there. I wanted to see with my own eyes if she's the good girl/wild girl type. She took her sips and didn't dance yet, huddle together with the rest of the girls (6 of them). It was approaching 11:30pm and my colleague had to go and I followed suit. As much as I wanted to stay and observe her till the end, I think better of it and said goodbye and went home. I asked her if she wanted a lift back, but she told me one of our colleague will send her back.

Some of you might want to ask me why I sms and then ask a colleague to call while I should have called myself, why I could only say 'observe her till the end'. I couldn't help but felt she purposely wanted to avoid me. On Tuesday night 9pm, she was working late again and I'm on leave for the next 2 days; I honestly felt hurt when I saw her shoes on the rack so late at night, so I text her a 'good night n remember don't overwork' sms. She didn't reply. Previously she would have replied.

Lately, she is giving me one liners answers to my open ended questions and never asked me any questions in return. I know I'm in trouble. Our relationships with other colleagues are the same. So this is something between the two of us.

Ok, the update stops here so far, a few info on us.
Me: I am a Sales Executive for this company for these two years.
HM: She's a Marketing Assistant. We are under Sales & Marketing Dept. She doesn't like people who smokes but she can tolerate them if it was a group outing.

15/06/09 7pm
- Two of us left working late again A fax came in for her from our regular supplier and got her surname wrong. So I figured that's a good opening for a conversation. I went and she was doing some cabinet filing. "A fax come in and they changed your surname ler" smile.gif . Totally ignored me. There were papers for other marketing colleagues also so I sorted onto their respective table. Her was the last and I said "I'll put this on your table then". There's wasn't even a nod or anything.
Needless to say, I can't understand the coldness she shown to me the whole past week. Why so cold?

16/06/09 8:45am
- I was waiting in the LRT station since 8am. HM takes the LRT everyday and our office is about 5 minutes away walking. I am bothered by the coldness BUT I'm not going to ask her why. What I intend to do is just we chat simple while walking from the LRT to office.. Things along the lines of "Had breakfast?" etc.
I was waiting and a female sales colleague saw me and asked me what I'm doing there. About 15 seconds later, HM was walking towards the exit (HM and this sales colleague were on the same train), and I came up to her to say "good morning". HM saw the sales colleague, briefly talked to her and sped off. The sales lady asked me as HM speeds away "Eh, you don't want to chase after her?" HM was already like 70 meters in front.

I must insert this*: We did pass by each other during the day. Maybe it was just my illusion but we did smile at each other one/two times that day. I closed two hard property sales that evening and I'm certain it was attributed to the smile.

17/06/09 8:40am
- Today is my off day and I really wanted to clear out any of yesterday's misunderstanding I'm waiting in the LRT like yesterday. The LRT gatekeeper officer (Mr.Hasbullah) chat with me, knowing I'm waiting for someone (yesterday I told him 'tunggu kawan'). HM come out. I said good morning and asked her "Want to walk together to office?" She shakes her head, put on her headset and speeds off.
I walk back to the office, took my car and went back home. Now I'm writing this.

18/06/09 - Putting this on tentative 100% fail. The conditions are not encouraging at the moment to pursue further. It can't be forced, I'll just have to continue to be a better person.

OK, here what happened.

I had to park on yellow line (zero traffic obstruction). When I got back to my car, I saw a DBKL summon (RM100) and a PDRM notice. The PDRM notice is to instruct the owner of the vehicle to volunteer information about the driver in 7 days. The PDRM notice was issued half an hour after the DBKL summon. There is no compound amount on the PDRM notice.

From what I read in FnF, many drivers don't think much of DBKL/MPPJ/etc municipals but it's different story when it comes to PDRM. I don't have much spare cash month-to-month (honestly), so how best you guys would advise?

Thank god the tyre haven't gave way yet. I was driving high speed with this tyre for half hour before I took this picture.

Story:
6 months ago, I sent my tyre for patching (nail got stuck), mechanic saw the irregular baldness and told me absorber kong. Tyre thread condition about 50%.

Changed absorber and continue driving. As months go by, noticed one tyre needs regular air pressure pumping.

Today, got free time, changed this tyre with spare tyre because of air pressure keep deflating. Noticed the bad condition.

Moral:
Check tyre regularly, it's saves life

Question to sifus: What tyre brand is good for 14inch? (regular car noob)
