External 2.5" HDD heat issue

I have a Seagate 2.5" HDD attached to a Vantec Nexstar Lite enclosure and I plan to use it with a RMVB media player. However, the HDD runs very hot, I can feel the heat around the casing. Will it affect the HDD lifespan as my wife watches HK series like 4-5 hours straight a day? Anyway solutions that can be used to lower the heat?

I have been out of the OCing community for years and am wondering what good(reputable) HSF is good for a Core 2 Extreme QX9650 system? I am mainly gonna use it for gaming and web surfing, so no OC(or maybe a lil) needed...Please list any good HSF that is below RM150 for such usage. Please note that I do not have the standard HSF for the Core 2 Extreme..thanks!!

New all in one device dilemna

I am currently using an old Aztech DSL dialing modem bridged to a Linksys Wireless WRT54G...however i frequently get my line session "hang" over at Streamyx and according to the technician there it's due to my old Aztech modem. I am planning to sell of my Wireless router and get a WLAN router with a dialing modem built in. Will the new device solve the problem and if so, which model should I go for? Thanks!

hey people..i have a linksys WRT54G wless router connected to an aztech DSL modem(bridged) up to my linksys wmt54g PCI wless card. the problem is that the line always disconnects from time to time. during bootup, the card will detect the signal on windows zero config(i don't use the linksys software as it always give me problems) but somehow, the line will drop and i need to do a repair (disable/enable) to get a fresh signal...i believe that the line signal is fluctuating..however, everytime i delete the drivers and reinstall, everythng will be fine and the signal will deteriorate over time...i have another centrino laptop and that one works fine without any problems..have flashed the wrt54g to version 5.0(latest)...any ideas, people?thanks!
