Games on Multiplatform

I personally think it's a bad idea.... If a game goes multiplatform, the PC version will sure to be pirated or being distributed through torrents. Hence, gamers will obviously get the PC version instead of console version.

PC ports such as Prince of Persia was directly ported from the console version. Hence, it can only display resolution of up to 1280x720 only. WTF!! (I swear to god I am not throwing in a penny for UBISOFT titles ever again).

Games on consoles offers better piracy protection especially on PS3 where until now, there's no fake copies of games available on this platform.

Multiplatform games will hinder and prevent developers from maximizing a console's hardware capabilities. (They need to detune the software so that it is able to run on weaker consoles).

These are a few points that i am able to think of... anyone have more comments to be made, please post... I would gladly hear comments from other gamers.

PS3 & XBOX360 Dolby Digital

Alright guys, I've actually posted a thread regarding this in audiophile thread but there's no replies from forumers

I believe some of the fellow gamers here do have both PS3 & XBOX360 and are using optical cable to get Dolby Digital Sound from respective consoles.... I am having a problem as my old amplifier only have 1 optical input thus there's no more expansion of another optical input. How do I get around with it? Is there a place where I can get an optical cable splitter somewhere?

Anyone knows where can I get an optical cable (TOSLINK) splitter?? My amplifier only has 1 TOSLINK input and I do not want to plug/unplug the cable in & out from my XBOX360 and PS3 all the time...

Folder Automatically Dissapears

I am using Vista x64 & whenever I open 'windows defender' folder, it'll just dissappear in 1-2 seconds.. Anyone facing this problem? Running on original Vista Ultimate x64 patched with SP1.

1080P Mythbuster

I thought of clearing this myth. As most of you guys are pretty much aware, lots of people commented that FULL HDTV at screen size of 32" does not make much/if not any difference compared to a HD READY TV. I do agree to a certain extent. If we were to watch HD movies, 720P vs 1080P really don't make much difference on a 32" LCD TV. Though there's difference, it's hard to notice.

When it comes to GAMING, 1080P really shows it's potential. A person can really notice the difference between 720P vs 1080P resolution. I've actually tested a 1080P title (Grand Turismo 5 Prologue) on my 22" DELL HDMI monitor as well as my friend's 32" FULL HD TV. The difference is very obvious compared to a HD READY TV. The speedometer has less jagged lines, has smoother edge and crispier.

Although the downside is, there aren't many game ttiles out there that supports 1080P output thus not maximizing FULL HDTV's potential in gaming.

To all those 'sinkalan' out there, please explain properly before giving advise to new LCD TV buyers. Do not simply mention that 32" FULL HDTV is useless.

*I do expect some guys will flame me since what I am saying goes against some guys here in the forum. But hey! I've actually tested it on a 32"FULL HDTV, 32" HD READY TV and a 22" DELL HDMI monitor.

A year has pass and I've yet to see an RPG game on the PS3 worth spending my money on. What happened to SONY? PS2 used to be a RPG haven console but it doesn't really seem that way for the PS3 All I know is FF13. White Knight Story (Shirokishi) and Star Ocean 4 is coming,. Still only these few titles?

Anyone here knows any other title which is in development? Even the X360 has respectable RPG title released (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey)

Power switch on case does not turn on PC

Headphones Power Consumption

I am using Sony Walkman S205F MP3 player paired with Audio Technica FC7 headphone. It seems that the power bar for the MP3 player drops quite fast. It won't last me 10hours of music playback (volume bar at 25/30).

My question is, does headphone consumes more power compared to earphone. If I use earphone, does that means I can have longer playback time? Advise/opinion are most appreciated

I am using a postpaid line and I have access to MAXIS's Easy Access feature. Does MAXIS Hotlink have Easy Access features as well? My friend just bought a Hotlink starter kit and he has no access to it. Is it all depends on which SIM card we are having? Any ideas?

Anyone watched this anime series? It has 26 episodes but there is no conclusion as the manga is still on going. This anime is worth watching if anyone out there wants to watch something fresh and unpredictable. The storyline just keeps you going, eagerly anticipates what will happens next. Be reminded though that this anime is 18SX
