How often you listen to MP3?

How often do you use your MP3 player? Nowadays everyone seems to use MP3 player non-stop in office. Some listens while commuting, some use it while sleeping too.

For example,
Working time (8hr) - lunch (1hr) = 7 hr of usage

Red poison

I saw this in my mail box today. I remember drinking 3 bottles of red bull recently. I just loved the taste of red bull

QUOTE

RED BULL = SLOW DEATH

France & Denmark have banned it from the country...

RED BULL - slow death ...
       RED BULL - slow death ...
               RED BULL - slow death ...

Do NOT drink this drink anymore!!
Pay attention; read it all

As a public health safety, please pass on this email to all the contacts in your address book especially those with teenage children?

This drink is SOLD in all the supermarkets IN OUR country and our children ARE CONSUMING IT ON A TRIAL BASIS, IT can be mortal.

RED BULL was created to stimulate the brains in people who are subjected to great physical force and in stress coma and never to be consumed like an innocent drink or soda pop.

RED BULL IS the energizer DRINK that is commercialized world-wide with its slogan:'It increases endurance; awakens the concentration capacity and the speed of reaction, offers more energy and improves the mood. All this can be found in a can of RED BULL , the power drink of the millennium.

'RED BULL has managed to arrive at almost 100 countries worldwide. The RED BULL logo is targeted at young people and sportsmen, two attractive segments that have been captivated by the stimulus that the drink provides.

It was created by Dietrich Mateschitz, an industrialist of Austrian origin who discovered the drink by chance. It happened during a business trip to Hong Kong , when he was working at a factory that manufactured toothbrushes.

The liquid, based on a formula that contained caffeine and taurine, caused a rage in that country. Imagine the grand success of this drink in Europe where the product still did not exist, besides it was a superb opportunity to become an entrepreneur.
BUT THE TRUTH ABOUT THIS DRINK IS ANOTHER THING:

FRANCE and DENMARK have just prohibited it as a cocktail of death, due to its vitamin components mixed with GLUCURONOLACTONE' , a highly dangerous chemical, which was developed by the United States Department of Defense during the sixties to stimulate the moral of the troops based in VIETNAM, which acted like a hallucinogenic drug that calmed the stress of the war.

But their effects in the organism were so devastating, that it was discontinued, because of the high index of cases of migraines, cerebral tumors and diseases of the liver that was evident in the soldiers who consumed it.

And in spite of it, in the can of RED BULL you can still find as one of its components: GLUCURONOLACTONE, categorized medically as a stimulant.. But what it does not say on the can of ,RED BULL are the consequences of its consumption, and that has forced us to place a series of WARNINGS:

1. It is dangerous to take it if you do not engage in physical exercise afterwards, since its energizing function accelerates the heart rate and can cause a sudden attack.

2. You run the risk of undergoing a cerebral hemorrhage, because RED BULL contains components that dilute the blood so that the heart utilizes less energy to pump the blood, and thus be able to deliver physical force with less effort being exerted.

3. It is prohibited to mix RED BULL with alcohol, because the mixture turns the drink into a " Deadly Bomb " that attacks the liver directly, causing the affected area never to regenerate anymore.

4. One of the main components of RED BULL is the B12 vitamin, used in medicine to recover patients who are in a coma; from here the hypertension and the state of excitement which is experienced after taking it, as if you were in a drunken state.

5. The regular consumption of RED BULL triggers off symptoms in the form of a series of irreversible nervous and neuronal diseases.

CONCLUSION: It is a drink that should be prohibited in the entire world as when it is mixed with alcohol it creates a TIME BOMB for the human body, mainly between innocent adolescents and adults with little experience.
.

A quick mythbuster action proved inaccuracies in the e-mail.

QUOTE

Glucuronolactone is a naturally occurring chemical produced by the metabolism of glucose in the human liver. It is an important structural component of nearly all connective tissues.[1] Glucuronolactone is also found in many plant gums.

It has received some notoriety due to urban legends that it was a Vietnam War-era drug manufactured by the American government. The rumor goes on to say that it was banned due to several brain tumor-related deaths. The rumor has since been proven false, as neither the cited British Medical Journal article nor the "banning of its consumption" ever occurred. Furthermore, no warnings appear on the Food and Drug Administration website regarding its potential to cause brain tumors or other maladies.[2]

According to "The Merck Index", it is also used as detoxicant

The question is: To continue drinking or not?

inb4 maggots squirming from red bull

Wiki Discovery: RON92 is better than RON97

It is commonly believed that efficiency of a gasoline engine is related to the fuel's octane level; however, this is not true in most situations. Octane rating is only a measure of the fuel's propensity to cause an engine to "ping"; this ping is due to "pre-combustion", which occurs when the fuel burns too rapidly (before the piston reaches top dead center). Higher-octane fuels burn more slowly at high pressures.
...
There is slightly less energy in a gallon of high-octane fuel than low-octane

Sos

Start tuning your engine to run RON92 or RON95. You pay less for more energy.

Acceleration and deceleration (braking)

Fuel efficiency varies with the vehicle, but generally acceleration is most efficient at 75% to 100% throttle openings.[16] Fuel efficiency during acceleration generally improves as RPM increase until peak torque. However, accelerating too quickly without paying attention to what is ahead may require braking and then after that, additional acceleration. Experts recommend accelerating quickly, but smoothly.

Sos

I am reinstating the criteria since many are still telling me about traffic and braking:
-Assume no traffic
-No braking
-Acceleration from 0 to 80km/h
-Quoted says flooring the pedal for 100% throttle is better than a slow 0-80km/h acceleration

Discuss.

I might have found an oddball display, or somebody    ;
;somewhere might just have become hexed and confused the dec   ;
;and hex formats.                                              ;
;                                                              ;
;Evidently, if you run into difficulties with that second      ;
;line, you might have to experiment with the address of that   ;
;seventeenth character.                                        ;
;                                                              ;
;            Or maybe a hex inverter might help.               ;
;                                                              ;
processor 16f84A
radix   hex
__config 0x3ff1 ;WDT OFF, pwrup timer ON, XT osc
;
;---------------------------------------------------------------
;   Parameter equates
POSITION equ 0x04 ;middle of first line
;
;---------------------------------------------------------------
;       cpu equates (memory map)
indf        equ     0x00
tmr0        equ     0x01
pcl         equ     0x02
status      equ     0x03
fsr         equ     0x04
porta equ 0x05 ;five lines available
portb       equ     0x06
portc       equ     0x07    ;not available
eedata      equ     0x08
eeadr       equ     0x09
pclath      equ     0x0a
intcon      equ     0x0b
option_reg  equ     0x81
trisa       equ     0x85
trisb       equ     0x86
trisc       equ     0x87    ;not available
eecon1      equ     0x88
eecon2      equ     0x89
;
;---------------------------------------------------------------
; bit equates
c   equ 0
dc  equ 1
z   equ 2
rp0 equ 5
gie equ 7
;
;---------------------------------------------------------------
; Variables in RAM.
;---------------------------------------------------------------
;
safe_w equ 0x0c ;w stored here during int service
safe_s equ 0x0d ;status stored here likewise
flags equ 0x0e ;array of bits as semaphores
hours equ 0x0f ;00 to 23 BCD, display format
minutes equ 0x10 ;00 to 59 BCD, display format
seconds equ 0x11 ;00 to 59 BCD, display format
timeout equ 0x12 ;notify int timeouts
tick_hi equ 0x13 ;incremented each interrupt
tick_lo equ     0x14    ;
count1 equ 0x15 ;delay counter and
count2  equ     0x16    ;temporary storage
lcdbuf equ 0x17 ;Start of Display buffer area
;
;---------------------------------------------------------------
;Port A definitions
;---------------------------------------------------------------
PORTA_CONF  equ     0   ; all outputs
BLINK equ 4 ;Flashing LED for seconds - connect
;between Vcc and RA4 with a 470 ohm
;series resistor.
Item(s): Sony D-NE20 PCDP

-Sony's 3rd gen ATRAC PCDP, also the last flagship model produced by Sony
-supports redbook CD, MP3 and ATRAC3
-supports CD-R and CD-RW
-This is an Asian version, has higher amplifier output (no volume cap like EU versions) and supports Unicode (Kanji, Chinese, Korean characters)
-New battery included; really long battery life
-Highest end remote included (RM-55ELK)
-Has real line out and optical(digital) line out; can be paired to real man's amp for the best output (only flagship models have these feature)
-clean sound output, greatly take advantage of better earphones (has greater clarity than my Ipod Nano)
-advertised as slimmest PCDP in the world
-magnesium body (not plastics)
-very rare in Malaysia; last heard to be sold in China for RMB 700+ or USD 200

Online reviews:

QUOTE

The Sony D-NE20 has just about every feature one could need from a portable CD player. Not only is the D-NE20 compatible with CD-R/RW, it can also play MP3 and ATRAC3plus digital music files. ATRAC is the format Sony developed for MiniDisc, and it translates beautifully to this form. Sony includes its SonicStage software to rip CD loaded with ATRAC files, and it also serves to interface with Sony's Connect online music store.

To perfectly tailor the sound, the D-NE20 has a parametric equalizer and a very effective bass boost. The player also incorporates an automatic volume limiter to prevent loud volumes from damaging a listener's ears. The D-NE20 employs Sony's G-Protection to help prevent skips during playback.

With a single AA battery and the included built-in rechargeable cell, the D-NE20 is capable of up to 100 hours of playback, and an automatic shut-off further enhances battery life. The player comes with a battery charging stand, an AC adapter, and a carrying pouch, as well as stereo headphones and an external battery case. This is quite a piece of portable technology. With so many features designed to enhance the portable music experience, the Sony D-NE20 is a great player to own.

QUOTE

it is the best i have ever been made to realise, although it looked a s if it was late when i was buying it but now i hear something better than the disc i insert into it .it looks and soumnds as if i am already in heaven. the sound system is great and fantastic. the whole machine gives a resounding effect as if you were at the mixing studio. you know what i mean , don't you?. i think i can never sttle for anything less than this.sony as really helped by providing this in the market for us all to buy and enjoy. this is a good development in the disc and c.d world.you can afford it. it is better to settle for the best as econmists would say ,ceteris paribus, thie guarantee is even than the years given

Cowon S9 VS Sony D-NE20 Sony D-NE20 as good as top notch Cowon S9

Official Product link: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/paw-cd-walkm...geType=Overview

Package includes: The discman itself, dock, original Sony adapter with ferrite core, original Sony Walkman pouch, RM55ELK remote, battery, original earphones

Price: RM250 or offer me

Warranty: Nil, test on COD

Dealing method: COD

Location of seller: Puchong

Contact method/details: PM

Age of item: Couldn't remember but it's as new condition

---

Item(s) conditions: Pristine, like new (see pictures)

Picture:

Reason for sale: Funding for uni projects

YOU have ATTITUDE problem

How many people in your life have actually said that to you? Do you bother with such comments?

I personally had 2 persons telling me that I have attitude problem. I couldn't find any fix and lived on. First was my music teacher; secondly was a girl friend. These 2 people are no longer in close contact.

Fuel gauge jumping

My Wira 1.5L(A)'s fuel gauge jumps up and down when I accelerate and brake hard. If I corner hard, the gauge also will drop. The lesser the fuel inside the tank, the more erratic the movement. Due to erratic movement, I cannot really determine how much fuel is left. How to fix this problem?
