Recommended violin for beginner

I am planning to get myself a violin and learn it myself.
Since i am not familiar with violins, i would like to get some recommendations on which violin should i go for.
my budget is around rm500, below if possible.

i surveryed some Yamaha stores and found there are some violins up for sales for about rm399. the build is slightly smaller, i guess it is for children use?
i am a guy in his twenties, so, a violin for children use probably doesn't suite me.

all recommendations are welcomed.

SAMSUNG Manufactured date

My sis just bought a samsung J700i through a friend who was coming back from UK.
1)He didn't have any receipt for the phone, so, i was wondering if the international warranty still valid?

2)if it is still valid, who to check the validity?is it through manufactured date?

3)if it is through manufactured date, how to check the manufactured date of a samsung handphone?
FYI, there is no sticker anywhere on the phone indicating the manufactured date or date of purchase.

Problem details
First occurence of problem: since the first day i use this router
Problem frequency: always
Problem description:

i encounter a strange problem with my connection. i can access to the internet with good speed using wireless, but when i plug in the CAT5 cable, i am unable to browse any websites. the strange thing is, eventhough i cant access any websites, i am still able to download using torrent client...

some infomation that might help you to help me,
my previous router was fried because the lighting struck it and the router spoilt.
So i change to a new router BELKIN wireless G+ MIMO.I noticed the NIC card spoilt as well, so i get a new NIC card as well for my desktop. I did some settings inside using my desktop and everything is good except i get spikes every 3-5 seconds, but that doesnt matter since i can go online.

but when i use my laptop to access to the internet using the cable, i cannot browse any websites, cannot go online using msn but can download using torrent. my laptop is able to access to the router too.

so, is it possible that my LAN port on my laptop spoilt?
if it is not, then do you have any idea on how to solve it?
just note that i am able to surf web using my desktop.And i am able to surf web with my laptop using wireless.

all help are much appreciated.

Many who wants to start playing any musical instrument asks around and see how others got started.
many questions were raised, any the first of them would probably is, "can I learn that by myself?"

this poll is actually to show those who will be learning in near future and those who might want to learn in further future how musicians got started.

to start off,

Method: 1

learn by myself by getting a chord book that cost rm2.50 at my time,and that was around 6 years ago.
achievement so far,i composed songs not for music industries, just my hobby. Played for a few churches. taught quite a lot of people how to play guitar before. played for events for schools like those convo nights, freshie nights, even for other schools...

erm...that's all.

PS: learning guitar by yourself isnt as hard as you think it is.

i just bought the router yesterday. i asked the shop's technician to help me configure it.
i've checked that it is using the latest firmware.

the problem is,i am encountering serious game spikes...
any idea on how to solve this problem?
i have done the port forwarding.
before i get this router,i am using aztech DSL3100R and it doesnt have this problem.

i would like to find an isp that provides wi-fi service to customers.
i am currently staying in kl, but i travel to kuantan pretty frequently, and i want to use the account both, when i am in kl and kuantan and also on the way to kuantan as well.
i found one service which is what i wanted Maxis wifi broadband,but it doesnt cover kuantan. so, any other recomendation? please provide the site if posible.

Unable to share file

I have 2 computers both using Windows XP pro SP2.
they can share file for almost 2 years without problem. then suddenly starting from yesterday, i cannot open the shared folders. i am able to see them but cannot open.
but this morning, when i tried to access it, it is accessible. but when i restarted the router that connects both computers, it became not accessible any more. any idea on the problem.
all constructive comments are most welcomed.

i have a problem here... my fren's PC cannot copy and paste any files.
she just reformatted her HDD a few days ago, she doesnt have internet connection[which means the posibility of virus and spyware attack are not that high].

the detailed case is like this,
i right-click a file, pressed 'copy'. then i go to other window[i tried at desktop] and right click, the 'paste' option is greyed.
i tried drag and drop technique,but the files cant even be dragged.

another problem with the PC is, no sound. i checked the sound card , speaker, the cables connecting the sound card and the speaker, the driver is properly installed.

any idea on how to solve the problem?
i tried searching and googling, there is an older thread that mentioned about this problem, but no solution found. and one more thing, try not to suggest formatting, i tried scanning for viruses and spywares as well.

i cant see the names and details of the folders,any idea on how to make it visible again.
and also, i cant find the folder option either. only this folder got this problem,other folders that is in thumbnail view can see the details.

i was using the internet and suddenly a message pop up titled "warning", with the message "no dial tone.". so, any idea what is the problem?
i still can browse the internet though. but the message box keeps coming again and again...

any constructive idea will be most welcomed.

Problem description:
i wanted to upgrade the firmware due to frequent disconnection, so, i went to the aztech website and downloaded the firmware and did according to the instructions given. the problem is, at the end of the instruction, there is a part where it shows the firmware upload status and when the firmware is successsfully uploaded and rebooted, i should be able to see a sentence telling me that it has been successfully uploaded, the problem is, i have waited for more than 30 minutes yet the sentence havent come out yet. the instructions says it will come out around 30 seconds...
so i try to open another browser and tried to enter the router, i entered and the password to enter the router is still the same (which should be different)...
any idea what is the problem?
