Hi, my sis just finished SPM and are looking forward to going into college. After going to the FACAN education fair, she intend to go into Nilai College, but i wanted her to go into UTAR Kampar instead. Since i do not know of Nilai College, i would appreciate it if someone from Nilai College gives some comment about the college. Thanks

Jsp Save data into Db

The problem is like this, i have this textarea in a jsp page. Upon clicking the submit button, it will forward the data into a servlet which saves data into the database. But when i get back the result from db into another jsp, the formatting which is the line breaks is gone. can anyone tell me how to save the line breaks from the textarea into database?

Like the title saids, i would like the users of LYN to recommend me a photo editing software. I am using it mostly for web design purposes such as creat banner, buttons and so on. I prefer open source software and lightweight. I've tried photoshop cs2 before but it's not my type and it's too resource eating. I prefer something more user friendly. Thx

Keep Session after Close Browser

Im doin my fyp in JSP and Servlet. In the login module, i would like to implement the remember me function which basically remembers user even after he/she closes the web browser unless she/he logout which invalidate the session. can sumone tell me how to implement this using HttpSession?

Hi, I'm currently doing a web based bus ticketing system for my FYP. All is well until the part where the customer can choose seats after they have selected which schedule they wants to purchase. Tomcat problem

I have this major problem where when i try to run my program using tomcat and eclipse, it took awfully long load time..the browser would like "waiting for localhost"..and wait for long time also no result shown..it wasn't like this when i did it one month ago..but i din touch it for 2 weeks d..and it turned out like this..i am so frustrated..

Maze Traversal

Kinda need some help here..i was trying to traverse a 2D array maze but i'm stuck sumwhere..i tried using recursion, but it din show the shortest /best path, then i tried using BFS, but im stuck as well..can anyone help me out?? i'm trying to go from S to F using the shortest path..A sample of my maze is attached..

besides that, off-topic here..i wanted to learn using oracle with java, any sifu's can point out to me what tools does i need to start programming java with oracle database?/

cannot view hidden file

it just started this morning when i try to view my hidden file, i can't do so..i go to my folders options and select the view hidden files, aftrer i click apply and ok..nothing happens, i open my folders option again and i see the do not show hidden files is selected..i choose view hidden files again and the same thing happen, it miraculously select back the do not show hidden files..any sifu can help me here?

JSP radio button

i'm having a problem with my JSP codes, the problem is like this :

Suppose i have a List of javabeans, with each javabean containing a set of informations. In a page where i list down the javabean's informations in a table, with an extra radio button for the user to choose. How would i know which radio button he chooses ? Because the table consist informations from many javabean, so if the user select a particular radio button, i can transfer the selected javabean's information to the next page. I was thinking of transfering the javabean directly, but unfortunately, i can't do so.

For example, take AirAsia's website, in the part where u chooses the time for your schedule and move on to the payment area, how would i noe which time i have selected and also it's information?

Any suggestions>?

As the title says, i need suggestions on what kinda IDE suitable for java web development. No Eclipse & Netbean please, coz i've tried them and they're too resourse consuming..my gf's laptop onli have 256mb of RAM, so lag like hell..i need a low end and better still, free IDE..can anyone suggest me a good one?

Netbean bunddled Tomcat Error

This morning, when i start my netbean bundled tomcat 5.5, it shows error of the port being used, and when i try to change the port to different number, same problem still happens..anyone can help me?? I tried viewing which applications using my ports and it all shows java.exe is using my port. Whichever port i try to change to, java.exe is using them..i tried reinstalling jdk1.6 also same problem exist. I tried to install a standalone tomcat server, it cannot even start. It's getting frustrating, any sifu can help me??

Can anyone show me how to get :

1. CPU type and model.
2. The time at which the system was last booted.
3. Amount of time since the system was last booted.
4. The amount of memory configured into this computer.
5. The amount of memory currently available.
6. The number of processes that have been created since the system was booted.

from the CPU?? My lecturer said that we can do it in c++ and too bad we haven't learn C++ yet..he even said this can be done by using C. Anyway, can someone give me some tips?? There suppose to be some function to called inorder to get these informations, but im clueless...please gimme sum idea, thx

can someone tell me how to connect to jdbc ?? step by step....from step one, coz the coding i already kautim, the database has been created, thx to phpMyAdmin..but the problem is the connection...
