As you can see all of my drives are 'hot swappable'.
The thing is, there's only 1 drive from the list that is connected via an external enclosure (esata). And 2 of the drives are actually running in RAID 0.

How do I get rid of this 'safely remove hardware' option?
I inadvertently fixed it the other day after reformatting my system. But after experimenting with the RAID settings in bios this thing appeared again, I think? Or maybe after I install my mobo's chipset?

OS is WinXP Pro 64, but I don't think that's relevant cause I had the same problem with the 32bit version.

Here's my how I configure my RAID in bios:

sata port:

1> Raid enabled (my optical drive)
2> Raid disabled (WD320 my system drive)
3> Raid disabled (esata seagte 160gb)
4> Raid disabled (wd raptor)
5> Raid enabled (seagate 160gb)
6> Raid enabled (seagate 160gb) --- 5 and 6 is my raid 0

FYI I put my optical drive on the first sata port because last time I could not boot direct from disc when I use any other ports except for the first 2.

Mobo is Biostar Tforce 570u.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR A HOST!

Greetings!

We are looking for a Malaysian aged between 20-35 years old to host a certain tv programme. Like our latest elections, race will not be a factor.

Casting session will be held from 27 March till 2 April 2008 (10AM - 8PM daily) at Lensa Film Sdn. Bhd. (refer to the map at www.lensafilm.tv)

The programme will be in English, so before you decide to give it a try make sure that you can speak fluent English. This is the bare minimum requirement.

If you know the basics of the Malaysian Industry, and you look presentable (doesn't mean you have to look like Hannah Tan or Justin Timberlake), you'd have a better chance of getting selected.

Interested candidates should come in business attire, and for the ladies make-up is compulsory. Don't overdo it though, unless you want us to put your profile in the 'Powder Face' category.

this is sooo last minute because the client agreed to provide the talents but they couldn't at the last minute.

anyways.
we're doing a marketing video for HORIZON HILLS. (it's part of the IDR project, johor)

we're looking for:

A family:
mom n dad (30-40 years old)
2 kids (below 10 years old)

a couple (35-45 years old)

now here's the 'best' part.
we'll be shooting in johor on 17 and 18 march 08. actually it's just 1 day, the other day is for contingency.
scenes include - lounging in the showroom, walking through the golf course, watching the kids play at the field n etc.
no dialogues.

Replacing a bios chip

I need to replace my notebook's (Toshiba) bios chip (bricked after a failed bios flash).
It will not boot for more than 2 seconds.
Toshiba Malaysia cannot do this for me, even if I get the bios chip for them, they 'can only' replace the motherboard which will cost me a bomb.

Do you guys know anyone that has the expertise to resolder the bios chip? I was told that it's not a normal soldering process...

Fitting a Scythe Ninja (Rev 1) to AM2

Now can someone help me out here... I have a rev1 Scythe Ninja, and as we all know it won't fit on AM2.
So I googled a bit and found out that this particular AM2 bracket from Thermalright would fit nicely.

So I bought this thing and WTH, it still won't fit! the Ninja fits to the bracket but it won't fit to the board. Seems like I'd need longer screws or something...

What is the proper way to make it fit? As in what type of screws or whatever do I need?
Longer screws would make it clip on to the board, I'm sure... but it will look weird.

My board is a Biostar 570u btw.

I'm pretty pissed off because the Ninja has been an ornament in my house for many months already, and I thought that I can finally use it.
