Unable to use USB External HDD

Guys,

I got an External USB 120GB 2.5" (Xcraft Cooler Master casing) which comes with a USB 2.0 interface.

But, Currently I'm using a Thinkpad T30 which only supports up to USB1.0, it do detect the disk but I could not see the disk on my File manager .. However when I used it on another Thinkpad X23, the disk can be detected and accessed.

How can I use the disk on my T30?
