From Precision M65 to Studio XPS 16?

hi all..

i hv a question which i think create a new topic will be more appropriate..

i m currently using Dell Precision M65(spec in my sig).. but thinking of changing it to Studio XPS 16..

Studio XPS 16 spec:
P9400 (not sure is P or T, forgot d)
4GB RAM
250GB HDD
512MB2 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670
4X Blu-ray Disc Slot-load Combo Drive (DVD/CD+/-RW8 + BD Read)

as Precision is famous with the stability of the build.. what do u think about XPS Studio?

1) is it worth the change? pls share with me what do u think about the pros and cons?
2) how much do u think i can sell my Precision M65(when i bought, the price was RM6k+) that still hv warranty until next year Feb?

hi guys.. i m going to Ipoh later and i need to use offline map without navigation..

i search tru the internet and found ogmaps.. i m not very sure whether it can be used in WM6 or not..

is there any other option of offline map available? i just need Ipoh map will do.. no need whole world also nvm..

UPPER and LOWER

i hv some data in my database column - item...

when i wanna display it out using SELECT statement.. i want the small letter become capital letter..

i search tru google and i found something like UPPER() and LOWER().. but when i applied in my query.. it seems like doesn't work..

in return.. i got the id.. i got the quantity.. but the item become blank..

and i try this too..

first row got 4 names only.. then 2nd row got 1 name?

u guys get what i mean?

i tried to search tru google.. but i dunno what is the term.. it is not about pagination.. is i just want the output to be like first row got 4.. second row got 1 (if total entry in my table is 5)

Looking to buy a new handphone to replace my w810i (signal weak-put in pocket also no line... and sometimes will auto off)

Criteria:
- nice camera
- GOOD SIGNAL
- good music.. ringtone sounds nice when ppl call me
- as cheap as possible
- prefer NOKIA or SE

lagging problem when playing FIFA08

hi.. i recently just installed fifa08 in my laptop.. but then now i facing a problem.. which is when the game starts.. it is lag like hell..

all so slow motion.. after i adjust the game speed.. it is also the same?

the solution i did:
1) update graphic card driver..
2) set the game detail to medium..
3) set the game res to 800x600
4) defrag, clean registry.. off antivirus.. off windows defender.. off vista sidebar..

anything i miss out? so sien..

pls advise..

Screen Resolution changed when restart Vista?

hi there.. my computer now got this problem after i install the fifa08...

my ori res: 1680x1050

now everytime i restart my computer... the screen res automatically change to 800x600 sux..

then i have to change it manually to the 1680x1050 again..

then i TL d.. i uninstall the fifa08.. and do registry cleaner... defragment.. then restart the computer.. and i see 800x600 again.. aih.. how eh?

is there anywhere to set the default screen res everytime i restart windows Vista?

there are a few questions regarding employees right ( i work as sales rep)

1. if working in a company for less than 1 year.. employer have the right not to give u annual leave?

2. if asked to work outstation on sunday let say from 6pm to 1am
6-7.45pm traveling time,
7.45-10.15pm working,
10.15-11.15 makan,
11.15 to 1am traveling back(reach office)

3. usually if do sales outstation.. no matter how late u extend your working time also no OT one right?

when designing a page.. i want the footer part always stick to the bottom..
eg. my screen resolution is 800x600.. let say my page height is 600px.. then when i view in 768px height screen.. i want my footer(about 100px mayb) to appear at the most bottom..

understand wat i mean right?

i dont want to use frame.. is there anyway to do it? css or how?

hi all..

i just bought my graphire 4 tat cost me RM310 in the PC fair =.=''

i need u all to share some comments n tips with me.. thanks..

first thing i discover is.. the driver is not Vista compatible =.='' have to download tru website.. and my other questions are......

1. how to set the Photoshop CS2 so tat it match the pen pressure perfectly?

2. do u guys have problem drawing? when u are on a 1680x1050 wide screen? coz everything seems very small... how u guys think?

3. how many of u using it as in pen-mode? and how many using it as mouse-mode?

any others tips are welcome.. thx.. or any good idea to share... pls post!

several tips to improve hand-eye coordination to use the tablet successfully:

i. (beginner) open a blank drawing in photoshop. put ur inactive hand (typically left hand) on the screen. using ur tablet, try to trace the outline of ur hand on screen. try to feel ur way around the tablet/screen. do this several times until u improve.

ii. (intermediate) play minesweeper.

iii. (advanced) replace ur mouse entirely with the tablet for ALL uses.

iv. (expert) pawn everyone in counterstrike or any multiplayer FPS.

Play around the "Brushes Preset" control. I like "Pen Pressure" & "stylus wheel".

Make sure to turn on "smoothing". Else, your drawing line will be jagged or angle.

"Airbrush" is the pressure sensitivity. The longer u press ur pen on tablet. The color will spread further from the center of the Pen.
