for old firmware, v1.01 globally give a problem where the router keep restarting itself.
i googled, and the solution is to update the firmware(got from DD-WRT).

after a few test, i noticed that power off the router for while can avoid the restart problem for 10-15 minutes.

so, i gave the router a rest because wanna flash to a new firmware later.

when it was the time, the router was working well and i did the flash job and the page warned to not to turn off the router for 190 seconds..

but after about ~30 seconds, the router restarted itself. and i guessed the flashing job was totally failed.

now, the router totally not working. cant LAN, cant ping, and only the power LED shows the light.

i googled, there is a redboot solution and i cant do it or maybe it is not the solution for my problem.

any solutions and helps from you guys?

rite now, the pain is like "cucuk-cucuk" internally on my left kidney area...

but i can pee flawlessly...

the pain was few times a day b4....but now feel likes more in an hour..

my mom called just now and she told me that yesterday got huge fight between malay and indian..4 man died...
it was like 13 mei but only in kamunting/taiping area..
last nigth hundred malays(i bet it was plus by mat rempits) gathered for the 'parade'..
till now so many police around because the situation still not settle...
and the news is not spread by the media...
my mom didnt go out berniaga today because of the situation..

anybody heard the news and got other sources?

cause i think my company just wasted the fund for nothing..upgrade to 4x1gb for an ancient workstation..dell precision 470..

disk error..change HDD?

ok.. i left my rig at my kampung for a while..so its rarely use...only my parents at home..they dont use it..

b4, i came back and the HDD got disk error..took a very long time to boot..its stuck at progress bar screen..solution, i performed chkdsk on that HDD on my friend rig..
then the system back to normal..normal boot time..can play games..surf..music..etc..

and now, recently, back for raya, the prob occur again...i went through the same procedure to repair it...and works fine now..

so, i dont think this is normal situation for a long time "abandoned" pc..i left my AMD rig for about 2 months b4 and still can work normally after that..

what is the problem for this case?

the HDD is WD..frankly, it has "crank" sound..not too loud but can hear it when boot, launching programs, games...etc
could it be the prob? change to a new one?

its still in warranty though..should i send it back?
