Marcello Lotti, the IRC's General Manager, commented: "We are absolutely delighted to welcome Proton into the IRC family, which goes from strength to strength. The new Satria Neo S2000 has already attracted a lot of praise in its short career to date. I have no doubt that Proton will quickly find success with competitive rally customers on IRC events, as well as on national and regional championships that are based on S2000 technical regulations."

Proton Managing Director, Datuk Syed Zainal, added "The IRC provides the ideal format for manufacturers to showcase their products around the world. We are very excited to register for the IRC this year, alongside many of the leading manufacturers in motorsport. Although we are still developing the Proton, the IRC will provide the perfect opportunity to gauge the competitiveness of the car, and ultimately to take the project forward."

The IRC is an intercontinental rally series authorised by the FIA, which got underway at the start of this year with the Monte Carlo Rally: the oldest and prestigious event in the history of the sport.

The second round of the series took place last week in Brazil, at the Rally Internacional de Curitiba.

Mobile Computing subforum should be under Computers section.

Handphones and Communications & PDAs should be combined into one subforum as Handhelds and Communications with PDAs being the subforum under it.

Canon loses SLR share, as Nikon surges

Canon sold 3.18 million single-lens reflex cameras in 2007 compared with Nikon's 2.98 million, according to a study released Tuesday by market researcher IDC. That represents a 42.7 percent and 40 percent share, respectively, of the 2007 SLR market. It's a much narrower margin for Canon than in 2006, when it had 46.7 percent of the market, compared with Nikon's 33 percent.

Nikon SLR shipments grew at a 71.1 percent rate, much faster than Canon's 29.3 percent rate, IDC said. To be sure, unit shipments don't reflect another important aspect of market share--revenue, which IDC didn't detail. But Nikon released competitive higher-end models, the D3 and D300, in the second half of 2007, so there's plenty of pressure on Canon there, too.

The SLR market is of major importance to camera makers: it's competitive, and the SLR market is far less saturated than the compact camera market, where camera makers are focusing on getting people to buy replacements or multiple models. SLRs offer much faster performance and higher image-quality than compact models, and lenses can be changed for different shooting styles. Thus, photographers have been flocking to SLRs as prices drop.

The overall SLR market surged 41 percent to 7.45 million units, much faster than the 22.7 percent growth to 123.3 million units for compacts, according to the IDC stats.

There, too, Canon faced pressure.

"The larger issue rests on repeat buyers looking for more camera at less of a price in years past," IDC analyst Christopher Chute said, and Canon has been trying to maintain higher average selling prices even as others cut prices.

In the total camera market, Canon's 18.8 percent share of units shipped gave it the top rank. Next in line are Sony with 16 percent, Kodak with 9.6 percent, Samsung with 9 percent, Nikon with 8.4 percent, and Olympus with 8.3 percent.

Welcome to PangyaSEA Season 2.
Now, before you say golf is only for old people to play, that's just in the real world. This is a game and it's for all ages to enjoy and most people playing this game ranges from primary schooler up to the 30s (the oldest i've met was a 39yo from Southern Thai srsly ). DVD Burner stuck in PIO mode

Hi guys. I realized i have this problem when i can only burn at 2x instead of 8x/16x and when playing from the drive the media will stutter a bit. I know this is a very common problem but most solution on the net i found and here as well are for XP. And of course i have already tried ticking that Enable DMA box but to no avail, it just won't enable the mode. I've tried uninstalling the controller as well, but it always reinstalls it back to PIO mode.

Anyone can help me solve this problem ?

Just put the picture followed by your phone model, just like in Camera-Phone Shots Gallery. Better still if you have the source of your theme or wallpaper.

For Symbian phones the wallpaper won't fill the screen unless it's part of the theme, so you can easily create your own theme here.

Screenshot software included for S60 UIQ, 1st/2nd & 3rd. I have no idea how to screenshot on non-Symbian phone though. If you have any idea, please inform me. Thanks.

So i heard from Buletin Utama. Keng Yaik says it will cost 1.8b Ringgit, over 20000km long, and will be completed by December next year. TM only invested 50m Ringgit in this (lol?) while the rest are covered by other companies. Good news or bad news ?

ADSL2Plus Modulation

Well here's the story, Sunday about a month ago all of a sudden my internet effed up. DSL blinking and disconnecting a lot in one day. DS margin was actually 0 but i was still connected to the internet somehow at one point. And then about 2 weeks later it got worse. The DSL just blinked all the time. Not catching the signal at all. And then i went to Melaka for 2 weeks to look after my bro's house. And now i just got back, turn on the modem and voila, the DSL is alive! Woot! So i turn on PC, take a look at the modem page and was really surprised to see this.

I don't want to really brag about the speed or something it might just be gone anytime. But what do you think ? Is TMNut now actually ready to go ADSL2Plus ? (We got the ADSL2Plus modem long time already ) And is there anyone else who have gotten this modulation ? My modulation is set to MMODE btw.

I did bug the TMNut people to fix my line until it's perfectly fine. And it became like this. The technician that was assigned to me was a kind person, he promised me that he'll fix it until it's totally ok. I guess he really did his job.

But i have no idea how to split it into parts.

So how can i print it in parts ? Any ideas ?
