[DIY/Guide] Photography Lightbox

I would like to share with you all my Lightbox Creation .

The Materials for the frame consist of PVC Pipes, PVC Elbows and PVC T joiner.

My measurements are:
PS : you don't need to follow my measurements unless you want to get the same size which I wanted. It's up to you for your measurements some people may want it for a smaller type of lightbox so it's up to you to decide.

- 4x 26 inch[length] PVC pipe
- 4x 19 inch[length] PVC pipe
- 4x 18 inch[length] PVC pipe
- 8x 1.5 inch[length] PVC pipe [ its for the intersection Elbows with the T joiners ]
- 8x T Joiners PVC
- 8x Elbows PVC [ there are two types : one is the normal one , another one its called street elbow which both ends have different size which able to fit in the T joiner instead of the normal which I have, I had to cut a 1.5 inch pipe in order to join the Elbows with the T joiner ]

Get those PVC pipes which are unthreaded. It cost lest then RM 13

Where to get?
you can get these stuffs at your local hardware stores, they usually sells it one long piece, you can ask them to cut them into half for carrying purpose. because you can't fit it in a car right.

No tools and glue needed to build up the frame. But you need a small saw to cut into desired lengths and file is to get rid of the rough edges.

Part 1
[YOUTUBE][/YOUTUBE]

I used some Wood board piece which is 1mm thick , It will be used for the Back Panel and the Base Panel, Front and Top [ can be seen in the video ]

Rest of Materials you need for the lightbox

- White Fabric [ there are many types ] I got mine semi transparent white which can be seen through a little. Size? it Depends how big is your lightbox so you have to measure properly , do buy abit extra length for safer purpose.

- Tack [ to hold the white or black boards againts the base or back panel ]
- A clips [ to clip the fabric to the PVC ] about 6-8 pieces of A Clips

Base and Backdrop for Photographing purpose
- White Board [ you can get them at stationery shop ] Size? is up to you
- Black Board [ you can get them at stationery shop or popular ] Size? is up to you

You can use other materials is all up to your imagination what you want as your backdrop and base. eg : Blue cloth, white cloth , or etc.

Part 2
[YOUTUBE][/YOUTUBE]

Behind The Scenes [Photos]

[YOUTUBE][/YOUTUBE]

[addedon]January 17, 2009, 3:18 pm[/addedon]This shot was taken with my Lightbox Setup

EOS 350D + 50mm @ 1/200 F/18 ISO 100

My Nissin Speedlite Di622 being placed on the right side, and there's a white card on the left to reflect the light on the left side of the bottle.
I trigger the Nissin Flash through my 350D with pop up flash and place a tissue right infront of the tissue because I do not want the light from the built in flash , is just to trigger my Speedlite

Euro Truck Simulator

SCS Software announces Euro Truck Simulator
Euro Truck Simulator is a truck simulation game set in continental Europe. The player can drive across a realistic depiction of Europe, visiting its beautiful cities, picking up a variety of cargos, and delivering them on time!

The road network in Euro Truck Simulator is based on genuine European roads, and cities in the game bring the essence of their real-world counterparts to the game.

As the game is set in Europe, European truck-designs feature exclusively - all trucks use highly realistic, meticulously detailed models based on real trucks. The truck interiors of Euro Truck Simulator are as equally impressive as the exteriors. With actual working instruments such as flashing indicators, temperature and low fuel warning lights, wipers, and naturally - a full set of gauges including speedometer - all built into the interior 3D model, Euro Truck Simulator offers a truly immersive simulation environment. The player can pan around the cabin, just as if they were actually sitting at the wheel.

check it out

http://www.eurotrucksimulator.com/index.php

they have some screenshots u can check it out

SCS software has made many few games based on American Trucks.

just wanna see anyone interested in this kind of game Lol
but its challenging with a trailer

To those who love simulation like me
do check out this

http://www.shipsim.com/products/ship+simulator+2008.php

im playing the 2006 one with the add on pack, using Logitech Driving Force Pro as 900 degree wheel

as you guys know the 2008 one Long distance travels as the 2006 is way to short.
just released as better then the 2006 as now the 2008

After many months of hard work, we are proud to present the brand new version of our favorite game, Ship Simulator 2008!
Available in many stores in the UK and Scandinavia as of today, and on-line from Amazon UK and our own Web store, the game promises to bring anybody with even the slightest affinity with ships and boats many hours of virtual sailing pleasure. German stores will follow over the next few weeks, and many other countries will get the game in stores in September.
After the success of the first release of the game last year, we listened carefully to all your suggestions for new functionality, and implemented most of your wish list.

Several new key features in Ship Simulator 2008 include:

Dynamic ocean waves, with realistic ship motions
Long distance travels , open ocean voyages between ports
Visible damage system
Thirty new complex and challenging missions
Extensive day, night, and weather systems
Three new environments: San Francisco, Southampton/Cowes/Solent, and Marseille
Six new ships, each with walkthrough functionality and interactive bridge controls
Controllable container crane

Several new features were also added into the game that were unannounced until today:

Advanced vector graphic sea chart based on realistic 3D seabed models, with full-screen display option, transparency setting, and level-of-detail on text & depth readings
Advanced damage system showing dents and holes in the ships after severe collisions
Free-roam mode where players can choose a ship, an environment, set all weather, day & time parameters and get sailing
Realistic bow splash water, with support from an advanced physics simulation model
Extensive mapping options for keys and joystick buttons
Advanced rope system, which allows you to connect and disconnect player ships to other ships or mooring boulders at will (anchoring is now also possible)
Addition of icebergs which cause damage when you collide with them

As if that wasn't enough, we are still working on even more features, which will be provided as a free upgrade patch around September. Some of these:

A system for sinking ships when damaged below the water line
Advanced system for scoring and ranking in different ship type classes, linked to your on-line profile on the forum
Two extra player ships: jet-ski and hovercraft
Additional language versions of the game (French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish and more)
Set waypoints yourself in free-roaming mode

Two new features we are also working on will be made available to you after September:

Multiplayer functionality, so you can sail around in your favourite environment every day with your Ship Simulator friends
Mission editor, so you can create your own adventures and share them with your fellow players on the forum

*note this info is grab from shipsim.com
