AMD Rig Cannot Boot

File Type Association

Hi all,

I need advice on this issue. Recently I have installed Autocad Viewer 2009 on one of my laptop. I can't seem to associate the dwg file to be open automatically by the software. Tried OPEN WITH with no result. Tested on other laptop works fine. My question is, are there other ways to associate the file to the program.
Using Windows XP. Please advice. Thanks.

Need advice here. I have 2 hard disk both preloaded with operating systems. One is Windows 2000 and one is Windows XP. I am want to dual boot this two hard disk on a single system. How can I achieve this? Thanks.

Maxtor HD 80gb Issue

Hi all,

Here is a description of my issue.

It is an IDE HD with an external casing.
Detected using plug and play but a bit slow. I have confirmed the casing is not faulty.
Cannot access the data.
There is no cracking sound.
If I hold the HD 90deg and sway from left to right there is a weird sound. Like the platter is moving.
What on my part can I do to recover the data?

The questions.
As the HD is still under warranty(3 years 1 to 1 swap), can I requested to do data recovery?
If no then pls recommend a cheap data recovery service?

Can't Detect Integrated Network Adapter

Hi,

I have a HP Compaq 2100 Microtower with integrated network. After setting up everything (WinXP), it won't detect the network port? Any ideas. I have install all the necessary drivers from HP website. I don't even see the device under the device manager. I can confirm it was working before.Thank you.

Hi,

I want to tranfer file between 2 computer that have been network through a switch but every time I try to access the other pc it prompts me for a password. As I know I did set any password.
Both the pc's are in the same workgroup.
Both are running WinXP Pro sp2
I am out of ideas. Pls advice .
