Unable to get printer to function

Hey guys,
I just bought this printer a couple of hours ago and I've been trying to install it ever since. I've tried using the disc to install, i've tried using the driver on the website, nothing works.

I tried manually adding a printer from the control panel but that didn't work either. A printer will be added, but it doesn't work at all. When I click print, the printer status doesn't update and data can't be sent to the printer.

Scanning works fine, so does copying...it's only printing that does not work.

I checked my Device Manager, the model number 'MP190 Series' appears in 2 places:
1) Imaging Devices - I'm guessing that's the scanner part, which works perfectly
2) Other Devices - Viewing the properties show that the driver is not digitally signed, no driver date, provider or version available. Something's very wrong here.

Please help me, guys. I really need to get this thing up and running as soon as possible.

Using Vista 32bit btw.

Hey guys,

I'm getting a new rig this weekend but I'm pretty confused on which graphic card I should get. It's definitely going to be a Radeon cuz I've been using ATI cards for a long time.
Right now, I'm considering Sapphire 4890 OC and Sapphire 4870 Toxic 1GB.
It looks like an obvious choice in terms of performance but another factor that I'm considering here with my purchase is fan noise.
I heard that the 4890 is really loud and I share a room and tend to prefer gaming at night so it's pretty important that my PC isn't too loud.

I initially had my eyes set on Sapphire's 4890 Atomic but I doubt it'll be here by this weekend.

EDIT: Oh yeah, my PC sits about a meter from me on the floor. (for noise)

I'm looking to get a new PC some time next month and here are the specs:

AMD Phenom II X4 920 (2.8GHz)
2* 2GB DDR2 800 RAM
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD4890 1GB DDR5
1TB SATA2 HDD
Gigabyte MA-770 UD3
Coolermaster Centurion 534
DVD Burner

I would like to get the above components with a decent PSU that's not noisy for around RM3000. According to All IT's pricelist, I have around 250-400 for a PSU to meet that budget.

Was looking at Gigabyte Superb 720. What do you guys think?

EDIT: Oh yeah, I'm not really into over-clocking my PC, so don't really have to take that into account. Thanks =)

It's been a long time coming and finally we can take a peek at what's to come for Shepard and co in this highly anticipated sequel.

No platforms have been announced but it's said to be no longer Microsoft exclusive since Bioware's owned by EA now. It will still most definitely appear on Xbox 360.

This is one game I truly cannot wait to get my hands on. Enjoyed the laggy experience of the first game, the second can only make the series better.

I'm trying to connect to XBL rite now to play COD4 but unfortunately i cant seem to be able to get a good connection. I cant even hold a good connection with locals... Anyone experiencing the same thing? is it cause of streamyx?

Monitor shutting off..

After 15 mins of playing COD4 Demo, my pc monitor shuts off but I can still hear the in-game sounds and can still hear the sound of my gun blasting away when i click.
I restart my pc and everything's fine again...until i try to play a game that is. Same thing happened when I played the Hellgate: London Demo.

I'm currently using a 1yr++ old X1600pro and I just reformated and installed new drivers to my pc a few days ago. Monitor is Samsung 793DF.

I've tried installing both older and newer versions of the card's drivers but they dont do any good either.

I'm guessing my graphics card has fried or is going to. Can anyone confirm this for me? cuz i'm no comp wiz or anythin...

Scratches on 360 dvds

My xbox 360 which i bought a month ago started scratching my dvds after i bought oblivion (no idea why) a few days ago. Gonna send my 360 into Djinn as soon as possible n hope that he gets new stock fast.

My oblivion dvd completely wont load a conversation with certain npcs and instead will show the 'the disc is unreadable' tab. My Gears cd has also been affected, albeit only a little. the scratches on the dvd is minimal, probably about 2 small scratches and this causes the game to 'lag' about a second sometimes.

Anyway, the reason i set up this thread is to get feedback from everyone about known methods to remove scratches on dvds and hopefully, a suitable method can be found to revive my oblivion dvd and maybe also fix my gears dvd to make them work like new.

Wireless Access point restarts

I used to use a Netgear Wireless router + Modem supplied by streamyx. However, both of those devices failed to work after being struck by lightning about a month ago.

Currently, I'm using a Zyxel Prestige 660HW-T1 Wireless Access Point ( Wireless Router + ADSL modem combo) and it seems to restart on its own every couple of hours.

I've tried just about everything to rectify the problem. From limiting traffic to using a voltage regulator and none of them seem to work. I brought it to the shop which i bought it from yesterday and they installed the new firmware for me but it still did not fix the problem.

Does anyone know of any method to fix this?
