the original Apple Composite AV Cable goes for about RM219 (correct me if i'm wrong)

are there any cheaper chaplang alternatives available in the market? i dont really need the bundled USB charger since the iphone comes with one already.

For Adding Malaysian Addresses into your Contacts

INSTRUCTIONS

1. download attachment Contact_Address.zip (provided by frozzbyte & alang)
2. unzip the file and you will find a file called ABAddressFormats(MOD).plist
3. RENAME it to ABAddressFormats.plist
4. Using your SSH software ( i used WinSCP) to log into your phone.
5. go into the directory /System/Library/Frameworks/AddressBook.framework
5a. (optional step) copy out your original ABAddressFormats file OUT of your iPhone for safekeeping
6. DRAG ABAddressFormat.plist into it
7. Confirm COPY and overwrite the file
8. Disconnect iPhone and restart your phone.
9. MALAYSIA should appear as an option in the country selection list in your Addressbook

i did a search on google for MacroK and nothing came up.

i have NEVER signed up for any 5-digit sms ringtone/wallpaper/toto result/weather forecast shit. EVER.

and here i am having a MAXIS bill with an item called EXTERNAL CONTENT PROVIDERS with seven RM3-4 SMSes from MacroK.

i have since called MAXIS to reverse all the charges and BARRED all external content providers.

i believe that maxis and these so-called content providers are working together to fleece their clients, hoping that they dont check their bills. CHECK YOUR BILLS!

Nine Inch Nails & Garageband

Hi apple gurus,

i downloaded The Hand That Feeds garageband file from NIN Downloads and its in .sit format. it mounted the image and when i i dragged the .band file into my Documents folder, i saw lots of files being copied over. i assume those files are the individual loops.

by the way the whole the hand that feeds.band opens fine and plays fine on Garageband.

being a newbie, my question is where did all the loops/samples get copied into? i looked through the loops that came with garageband and i couldnt find them.

please help

ive been reading how ppl sing the praises of their macbook and such, and that got me wondering what DON'T they like about it.

I, for one, really hate the SHARP EDGES where your palms rests. Its ok if you dont use it for extended periods, but after a while it will hurt.

another thing i wish they had was TWO buttons for the touchpad instead of one. Just makes more sense adding functionality to the UI. after all, OSX supports 2 button mouse and scroll wheels.

anyway just my two cents..

Card Reader for Macbook?

i want to transfer photos from a SD card into the Macbook. i plugged in a Apacer 8-in-1 card reader into the macbook, the blue LED on the card reader lit up and went off. i slot in the SD card nothing happens

what i want to ask:
- do i need drivers for the apacer card reader?
- do i need special card reader hardware for OSX?

I just got myself a refurbished black macbook and me not being a mac user would like to appeal to you mac gods for some guidance.

here are my questions:

1. where do files get installed to. i just installed yahoo messenger and i dont know where all the files went.

2. how to uninstall files?

3. was trying to connect to my D-link wifi router. i can see the A.P but i cant connect to it with WEP turned on. do macs have issues with non airport routers? now i connect to the D-link without WEP.

i paid for a unit which was advertized with only 512mb but they sent me one with 1gb of RAM. guess they were feeling festive

Hi was wondering how does one set the ZTE 831 modem/router to just be a standalone modem?

i want to plug it into a Dlink Wifi Router and have that dial out to streamyx instead of having the ZTE 831 handle it.

hi,

i was wondering if theres any users of dopod 838 in the forum?

i have this T Mobile MDA Vario and its the same hardware as the dopod 838. the difference is the rounded casing for the MDA while the 838 is square-ish.

i was wondering if you can point me to some useful software or maybe share your experience in flashing the ROMs. i'm thinking of flashing the MDA ROM to a 838 ROM.

im currently using:
- IM+ to connect to all the IM servers - MSN, YahooIM, AIM, GTalk ICQ.
- SPB Pocket Plus for Today customization
- Resco File Explorer

any recommendations?

Anyway I've been playing with it since and was wondering if any of the other HTC Wizard owners (Dopod 838 / Cingular 8125 / T Mobile MDA Vario/ Qtek 9100 / i-Mate K-Jam / O2 XDA Mini S) have flashed it with ROMs for one phone company onto their Wizard?

If so, any recommendations?

** Oh, before you ask, yes it was pure luck. Didn't think i would win. And when i did win, wasn't sure if i would get it cos the competition was from an american site. Anyway, the guy at engadget was really helpful and friendly, Ryan Block. The only problem i had was that i need a SIRIM import permit to show the customs. but its really not all that difficult. just fill out a form, pay RM211 for processing and youll get your import permit in 2 days.
