WTA: Sonic Array speakers question

Hi all,

My SonicGear x251 sub kicked the bucket. Since the 251 is no longer made and since the sub is also the main unit, and since my dad's attempt to service it has failed, I set my sights on the Sonic Array 2000. I have a few questions tho:

Quality good? The X251 tahan 3 years.

Got analog 5.1 in? How many? Since I've read horror stories about DVD or BluRay player programs shutting off Optical or Coax due to DRM, and I'm thinking of sharing the speaker with my HTPC if it has more than one 5.1 inputs.

Thanks.

PSOne video problem, please help!

Ok, this is a very old PSOne, bought in 2001. It started like that 2 years ago, but I didn't care until now, because my PS2 is unmodded NTSC U/C and I suddenly now need to play a PAL game (cannot play due to region lock, I imported the PS2 just to play Strawberry Shortcake game. The PAL game in question was not released in NTSC U/C at all to my knowledge), since my PSOne is Australian set so PAL game no problem with it. Current problem is the video output is very dark, color missing, sync issue (sometime screen rolling). It just suddenly become like that one day.

Help?

TV3 using China/Korea system for digital?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Multi...other_countries

I stumbled across this a few days ago. Anyone can confirm? I think it's highly unusual that TV3 would pick a different system from RTM. Also, I have gotten my hand on a handheld DMB receiver (mother cluelessly brought one home from China thinking it will work with RTMi) and it can't pick up anything at all, even in KL area.

I put the {{fact}} tag on the article because it just seem so wrong.

Edit: Tested again. Really got O.O
Signal 1:
Ensemble: 3: TV3, Hot Media, Fly FM

D-Link DSL2640T vs DSL2640B

Posting this on behalf of my boss.

Currently his router having problem. He has a web CCTV setup at home and the router keeps losing connection. He ask technician who set up CCTV for him and they told him router is dying. They recommend D-Link DSL2640B, and wants RM280 for it. I cannot find this model on any of the Lowyat pricelist, but price list seems to have D-Link DSL2640T instead, and RM180 only.

So I WTA: What's the difference between the two model that warrant the B model a whopping RM100 extra? From what I can google, the only difference seems to be the case design. Everything else look alike. Any technical differences that make the B superior and more expensive? The tech guy claims that the B has a dedicated web CCTV function, but I smell bull. Also, any reason that I cannot pop a RM150 Aztech into place and expect that to work as well?

Digi 3G?

Anyone having this problem? My Dopod 838Pro seems to be acting erratically this morning. Ever since turn on, it'll show DiGi (with EDGE logo on top of screen) as normal for a while. Then suddenly change to UMTS DiGi (with 3G logo on top of screen) for one or two seconds, then no signal. Then after a while, it goes back to DiGi with EDGE logo. It'll then be normal for a few minutes before suddenly repeating 3G for one second->No signal for a while->Normal.

Very funny, but could this means that DiGi is also finally rolling out their 3G system?

Fake Billionton Bluetooth USB

I bought a "Billionton" BT device from a shop in Sunway Pyramid for RM45. The device was supposed to be using CSR radio according to Billionton website. But when I went home and plug it in, it shows ISSC

I have enough bad experiences with ISSC radios, but I didn't expect this.

I need to use it to pair a laptop to my Dopod 838Pro using WM6 Internet sharing (I've been stationed by my company to a very big and popular telco, and their network blocking my 1. IM which I need to talk to colleagues, 2. e-mail which I use to receive tasks from my superior, and 3. certain pages on Wikipedia that have been vandalized (the stupid thing blocking the edit button from coming out so I can revert). So I want to use my Dopod to bypass the network. But with the stupid lauya ISSC device, cannot (WM6 can only use bluetooth PAN to work as gatewaty, not act as serial port modem. I suspect that it's caused by the device's PAN being buggy, since it says MAC address is 11-11-11-11-11-11). The device is supposed to be model UBTB1.

Now I google again, found out that I have bought ciplak Billionton device.

Need advice. How to get Ori Billionton device? How much will it cost really? This device already cost me RM45, and stupid BT PAN cannot work.

Also, what can I do with this piece of junk? I cannot return it because I already broke off the antenna (which turns out to be placebo) in a fit of rage (ok, actually, I was using it to force a new tabletop air ionizer with a 2-pin plug into a 3-pin socket) and I doubt the shop will accept return since the device is technically "working".

Plz help. The stupid network at this place blocking me from e-mail, IM and a lot of webpages (stupid thing seizes up in such a way upon happening upon vandalized Wikipedia pages that the edit button will not show up).

Final Fantasy VI Advance out in Japan

Just found out about it a few minutes ago.

Definately waiting for the English version. This is the first Final Fantasy game I played (on my cousin's SNES as FFIII-US, but oni a bit. He dun want to lend his SNES and cart to me- tell me straight in the face to get *ahem* and emulator). But it left an impact, and I playing it using that since then until now (that was in 1998. I remember using S3 VESA extender and DOS ZSNES on a P166 w/32MB RAM and ultra-low res back then. I also saw a lot of development in the SNES emulator through the game. From transparency to windowing to offset and mode 7). I think I restart the game about 2 dozen or so times since). Wow, the memories. Want to buy PS1 edition but cannot find. Latest attempt I play I suddenly cry at the Opera house scene. Powerful.

Looks like I'll finally be able to get a real copy to play on my DSLite. But dunno when US edition coming out...
