Free rear seatbelts from Perodua

Contact Perodua and ask when we can expect rear seatbelts to be fitted for cars that have anchor points for the rear belts but did not come with them.

The more people that send a message expecting the belts for free the faster Perodua will have to act.

I was in their service center this week and noticed many "We care" signs up. Ask them if they care why don't they show good faith by providing a basic safety feature that should have come stock? The Kelisas sold in UK all have not only rear seatbelts but airbags.

Is a UK citizen's life more valuable to Perodua than a Malaysian's ? That's what this comes down to. The belts don't cost them much. Ask that they show leadership by not waiting for the government to tell them what to do - tell them to do what they know is the right thing to do.

Mention how they decide on this will affect your future car buying decisions. Do they wish to build customer loyalty or screw customers by charging almost 400 RM for a feature that should have been there in the 1st place !

They read these messages and will respond quickly. The only way management will move on this is if in their next meeting someone says, "Customers are demanding to know if we are going to put rear belts in their cars".

Takes you 3 minutes and could save lives.

I'm going to go ahead and put the belts and pay for it, but I want Perodua to do right and not save a few dollars at the expense of many lives.

i've upgraded to 2 gb of value ram and have been holding on to my (came with macbook / apple original) 2 x 512 mb dimms just in case there where any problems. there have not been, so now i am going to sell - but not sure how much to ask for them.

any suggestions?

Comcast Sued Over BitTorrent Blocking

A California man filed suit in state court Tuesday against internet service provider Comcast, arguing that the company's secret use of technology to limit peer-to-peer applications such as BitTorrent violates federal computer fraud laws, their user contracts and anti-fraudulent advertising statutes.

Plaintiff Jon Hart, represented by the Lexington Law Group, argues that Comcast's promises of providing internet connections that let users "Download at Crazy Fast Speeds" are false and misleading since Comcast limits downloads by transmitting "unauthorized hidden messages to the computers of customers" who use peer-to-peer file sharing software. Hart wants the court to force Comcast to stop interfering with the traffic.

He also wants the court to certify the suit as a class action and force Comcast to pay damages to himself and all other Comcast internet subscribers in California

The suit (pdf), which also claims the BitTorrent blocking is an unfair business practice, was filed in California Superior Court in Alameda County.

my new macbook has 1gb now, need to upgrade and i am trying to decide on getting a single 2gb stick now and upgrading to 4gb later or just sticking with 2gb (1gb X 2).

anyone running 4gb - notice much diff?

i run vmware quite a bit for testing and 1gb is not cutting it.

I've been doing some research and I need to find a decent backpack that snugly fits a 13" mb. I'd also like room for a powershot S3 and a cell phone / chargers / adapters / snacks

One of the better products I have located so far is actually from Lenevo (manufactured by Targus) for RM 179

Crumplers look good but too expensive - Belkin sling looks nice but not enough room for my camera. I'm a casual business person and don't want something that looks like I'm on the way to a rave, nor do I want a briefcase..

is it legal for streamyx to throttle all overseas connections on their pool of ip address' ?

what would be the best way to "out" them on this practice? Calls? Letters to the press?

some ideas i have had are submitting youtube videos / screencasts demonstrating difference in connection speeds and the long process of connecting and disconnecting to get a "good" ip address.

I am now spending on average 20 minutes a day trying to get a good ip - this must put a fair amount of strain on the network, all the extra connects/disconnects..

I have made a habit of buying from SenQ because they have a good extended warranty policy and have treated me well during a recent replacement of a widescreen tv.

what shops have a good policy on extended warranty and do they honor it? I am getting ready to buy a powershot s3 and have heard that some batches have purple fringing problems with shots outside.

what shops have good extended warranty programs and back them up?

I just got an iSight from eBay that is working on an XP machine but not OSX 10.4.8.

I ran across a forum thread that says you can't use an external iSight on Tiger unless it's firmware has been updated on Panther - the 1.0.3 update won't run from Tiger.

Is anyone in Seremban or around using Panther? I'll buy you lunch for letting me update my iSight firmware from your Panther machine
