[WTA] laggy graphic?

noticed my computer recently slows down especially when playing Youtube HD vids and playing Facabook games (Pet Society, Crazy Planets). the graphic is like laggy but normal web-browsing are OK. also at the same time, CPU usage maxes out when opening those applications.

I thought of outdated Flash player so downloaded the latest one. problem still persist.

everything was running smoothly last time, and I suspect this lag is due to spyware/malware infection.
I'd like to ask whether the Windows Defender is good enough to cover against such problems? might be installing AdAware, see how it goes.

also, will updating the graphic card's driver helps?

Windows Vista Home Premium SP1. C2D P8600 2.4GHz. 3GB RAM. ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4570.

Hello guys... wanna collect some info regarding headphones over here in Japan.

No idea bout the audiophile market here, but Audio Technica, Sony & Denon have large varieties to choose over here, rabun mata lol....

I'm looking for some portable cans, like Audio Technica ATH-ES7 those kind. Had no idea with the other brand's market for similar level headphones. Spotted Denon AH-P372 but dunno whether it's good enough or not.

Noise-cancelling cans can be considered as well, like ATH-ANC7.

Budget-wise, should be below RM 1k.

Not planning to get it so soon yet but wanna know the market. Will be glad if anyone here can share their opinions here. I'm open to any sort of brands.

Wanna get a new PMP after CNY, now choices drop to these 2.

Ipod Nano 8GB/16GB (RM 600/ RM 800)

Sony Walkman NWZ-A820 8GB/16GB (price unknown)

I tried Ipod Nano before and I'm quite impressed with it.
Sony Walkman is a good stuff, according to most here.

So far I dunno bout the price of Sony Walkman yet, but it seems like Ipod Nano is cheaper for the same capacity compare to Sony.

Which one is better choice? In terms of price, sound quality, space and functionality.
It would be better if you could state your reasons to support the recommendation, thanks.

Someone suggested me to edit the linkings so that the links on the site will be opened in a new window instead of the current window.

I was told to insert this code[target = "_blank"] into the hyperlink code, which looks like this: <a href="http://URL" target="_blank">TEXT</a>

The problem is, I'll have to edit all the links to this code one by one, and by default Blogger's insert hyperlink code it appears to be the normal "a href="http://URL">TEXT</a>.

Is there any code where I can add/edit in the HTML codes to automatically make all the links to be opened in a new window?

I'm currently using Blogger's layout with all the page elements.

Your Blogging Evolution

For me, I started my blog after I finished my PMR. You know, the exam finishes on early Oct, so got ~3 months of free time to kill.
One day I googled my school and stumbled upon a senior's blog. Was excited to read what he's been writing there because it's all what happened in the school.

So I started my blog on the 7th of Nov, 2004. It started out like most teenager's blog, life in school, whine and rant etc. I just blog for fun that time.

The blog basically remains the same until sometime in 2006, when I decided to overhaul the entire blog template.

A major change in the blog design marks a new style of writing. Since then onwards I write more to the public's interest rather than my own interest.
It's year 2006, World Cup 2006, so I wrote a few stuffs on football that time and attracted quite a number of traffics that time. Too bad I haven't use any tracking service so I didn't got the exact figure.

I'm still experimenting Adsense that time. It shows slow but convincing improvements months after months.

I kept doing the same stuffs until another template change in 2007.

Blogging has been fun, I've got to know friends through it, blog-hopping from one to another is fun back then, you can just laugh all the way reading on other's post, as well as cross-linking here and there.

I noticed that the blogging has helped me to be a more matured person. Instead of complaining and cursing in the blog, I try to reason out the good and bad on things happening in life.

I realised that what happened around is no really a big deal, so you don't need to make a fuss around because life for you is really good already, you shouldn't be complaining but instead you should appreciate it. (just like the lyrics in Jay's new song "Rice Fragrance")

Today, blogging has been a part of my daily routine. It's simply more than just the blog itself, with the branching out from the blog I came across a few contacts on the net, which is pretty cool. To get to know people from various fields is good for your future planning.

Current template, going to redesign it soon.

A blog can really change a person's life.

It's just a few more days to go before my blog's 4th birthday, so wanna share a few thoughts of mine here.

Suspected graphic card issue.

Last time I had similar problem before and I've reported here also.

Description of problem.
While playing World Cup 2006, screen freezes with green vertical lines.

Restarted the laptop and same problem persist.

Boot up the computer again after 15 mins, looks OK.

Run System Restore, everything seems back to normal.

After awhile same problem again, this time freezes when opening Internet Explorer.

Restarted the laptop, looks like the BIOS screen messed up with vertical lines. After awhile Windows login page appears, login, appears to be fine.

Description of any troubleshooting steps you have taken.

iPod Nano (new) VS iPod Classic

Was considering getting either one.

Currently the price goes like this:

16GB: RM799

iPod Classic
120GB: RM999

Which is worth to get? I'm considering the quality of the sound, and functionality.
Of course capacity-wise Classic wins hands down.

Is it out-dated to get the Classic now? I like the Nano because of it's sleek design and colours, but felt that Classic is more worth the money to get it.

So what are you guy's suggestion?

I didn't' have an iPod, so was wondering how good is the sound quality?

I'd appreciate if anyone can share their experience with the various iPods, from the 1G, Nano, Classic, to the latest Touch or iPhone.

Is it they sound nice only when you pair up with a good earphone/headphone? I heard their stock earphone not very good...

Media Player Classic can't read MKV subtitles

I got a few vids from my friend in mkv format. the vid got sub when played on his MPC but it no sub when played on mine.
am i missing any codecs or plugins?
