The new Umobile advertisement is a big eyesore, because it keeps overflowing from the usual banner ad place. Can the admins or mods do something about it? It's very annoying when it blocks to top half of the post.

I own a Sapphire HD3870, using single slot cooling, and i find that the noise generated by the cooler on the card is simply unacceptable on idle (Ironically, i can't hear a thing from it on load because the game noises drown it out). It's not exactly loud, but it's very noticeable.

So, I'd like to look at my options for 3rd party coolers for it. I roughly have a budget of RM 150 (max RM200) for buying one, can any sifu recommend me some HD3870 coolers within that price range

Viewnet Returns Policy

Last friday I bought a D-Link 2-port USB KVM switch from Viewnet 3rd floor, but the picture quality is terrible on my monitor's native resolution (1600x1200). I'm thinking of returning back the KVM switch tomorrow, but before that, I'd like to ask if anyone has any experience with returning stuff to Viewnet.

Recommend me a KVM switch

I'm currently using a D-LINK USB KVM, but the picture on 1600 x 1200 is damn blur, and I read quite a lot of bad review about Belkin's KVM. Is there anyone or anywhere selling really good quality KVM switch that can go up to 1600 x 1200?

I saw a Colorful HD3870 512MB DDR4 card for sale at PC Zone today at RM680, which is really quite cheap, so i'm tempted to buy it

But I've never really heard of the brand before, so I'd like to have some opinions on that brand? It is good or not? Will it last long? Is it worth the savings in the long run, because the price of that card is at least 100 less than a brand name 3870, which is really, really tempting.

I just got this month's phone bill and there's a weird entry, "Pelarasan debit RM88.00" in the bill. I've never got this before, does anyone know what is it? I thought it's my Streamyx bill, but the Streamyx bill already arrive earlier before the phone bill.

HDD Burnt

One of my hard disk, a Seagate 320GB, had it's PCB burnt, due to bad power supply.

I heard we can replace the PCB to save the hard disk, is it true? If so, anyone knows how exactly to do it?

Borders Anime Manga Drawing Competition

In conjunction with their Concourse Sales event, Borders @ The Curve will be organizing an Anime/Manga Drawing Competiton on the 26th of August, Sunday, from 5pm to 7pm. Participants will have to design an original character of their choice in the competition.

The competition will be divided in to two categories, Group A for 7-15 year olds and Group B for 16 year olds and above. Enclosed herewith are the Rules and Regulations of the competition.

Terms and conditions:
1. This competition is open to ALL. Participants will compete in either one of the following categories: Group A: 7 to 15 years old; Group B: 16 years old & above.
2. For participants who are below 18 years old, co - signature by parents / guardian is required.
3. All contestants are required to bring their own drawing materials (dry medium only). Borders will only provide the drawing paper.
4. Registration for the competition will only be opened from 8th to 25th August. Latecomers will not be entertained.
5. No registration fee is required. However, Borders receipt within the registration date which shows the purchase of one (01) Manga / graphic novel title is required.
6. Each participant will receive a tag upon registration. Participants are required to wear the tag throughout the competition. Those without tags shall not be allowed to enter the competition area. There will be no replacement for lost tag.
7. Participants may enter the competition area at 5pm. The competition will begin at 5.10pm and end at 6.40pm. Winners will be announced during the prize giving ceremony.
8. There will be no theme for this competition, as we would like to encourage participants to demonstrate their capabilities and freedom to express themselves. Yet, any drawing style is acceptable as long as there are no elements that might deemed inappropriate, offensive or sensitive (e.g. nudity, religion, violence).
9. All character designs must be of original work.
10. All artworks will become the property of Borders / Berjaya Books and will not be returned.
11. Borders / Berjaya Books may use the artworks of future purposes and acknowledgement will be given to the creators.
12. All winners are required to be present or send a representative during the prize presentation ceremony.
13. Prizes won are not exchangeable for cash or any other form.
14. Prizes will be given to the top 3 of each group.
15. Failure to abide by the rules might result in instant disqualification from the competition.
16. Judges' decision is final and no further correspondence will be entertained.

The competition will be judged by Gempak artist, Ben, local doujin artists toounit and kidchan and Otakuzone writer, Kurogane. The prizes for the each of the competition categories are:

1st Prize: RM200 Borders Gift Certs.

External HDD causing speaker static

I seem to have a weird problem with my PC. I just bought a new external 3.5" HDD drive and whenever I plug it in to my PC, my speakers emit an annoying static.

It seems that the static only happens whenever I plug it in to any USB port of my PC and ceases when I turn the HDD off or remove it from my PC. Anyone has any idea how to solve this problem.

I would like to ask where can I find poster printing services for image files. I would like to print some hires pictures out in a poster form to decorate my room, but I dunno where to get this service since I'm pretty sure photostat shops wont't do this.

Anyone knows where to find such service? I'm not looking for bulk printing, by the way, just want to print 2-3 posters out for fun. Thanks a lot.
