CPU Power/Speed Rating

i am quite confuse here as some ppl says tat the POWER/SPEED of a processor or system depends on the L2 cache.
So wat are those clock speed and Dual Core and Quad Core signifies?
And wat the Megahertz means?

pls clear my doubts or if possible pls link me to some sites so tat i can do some research

Help Needed on New Notebk

I bought a new CQ40 512AU notebook and it was preinstalled wif FreeDos.

I try to install WinXP and during the copying of files, a Blue Screen came up and says tat there are some error wif the system. I called HP/Compaq customer service and was told tat this nb cannot support WinXP and only can install a copy of Vista cause the drivers are not compatible wif WinXP. I wan to knoe how come if it is a new install, the HDD should be "kosong/empty" and how come the installation cannot support WinXP?

Is there any way whereby i can install WinXp into it?
OR if i install a copy of Ahem Vista solve my problem

based on the above upload, my notebk cannot read my dvd rom and when i slot in a usb thumb drive it also gives the same result "Access is Denied"

however, my usb modem which is also sloted into another usb slot can be detected and able to connect to the internet

i hope you good ppl here can help me to solve this problem

how to use dual display on a laptop ?

i juz bought a lcd and would like to make my laptop and the lcd hav the same display output meaning both displaying the same web page while surfing

laptop is acer wif a display adaptor tat support dual display ( max resolution 1024 x 768 for main and almost unlimited for the second display )
LCD monitor is a DELL 17" ( max 1280 x 1024 )

i can use the dell lcd as an extension to my main display, meaning a wider and larger display when both are placed side by side .....BUT this is not wat i wan cause i wan to hav the same display on both

I was very busy lately. I din bath my dog for about 1 mth.
I juz discovered tat my 5 year old cocker spanniel hav a 7mm hole on the lower right jaw. i also can see tat some maggot is wriggling inside it. Tat part of the jaw was also swollen. I also noticed tat the gum and teeth also hav some food debris.

Please tell me wat i can do to help my dog. i knoe the best thing is to send her to the vet but i am super busy and may not hav time to do so tomolo. I hope tat some good ppl here can advice wat to do b4 i send it to the vet.

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL FORUMER TAT ADVICE ME TO SEND MY DOG TO THE VET

this morning, at abt 7.30am i gave me dog a bath and managed to pull 3 fatso maggots fr her upper gum hole
then i send her to the vet which is 20 mins drive fr my house
luckily i reached there early and i was the first customer.........so no waiting
the vet gav her two jabs, one for to kill parasite,maggots and another was meant to hav antobiotic function
then he use a cotton bud to stuff some negasunt powder into the wound
i was later given the bottle of negasunt to reapplied to the wound later in the day
my dog was very cooperative and the vet did not nid to sedate her at all
when i reached home, i again pulled abt 7 to 8 maggots fr the 7mm hole on the lower jaw.
so now my dog can be happy kua

update 11.03am 05 Dec 2007

yesterday nite when i come back fr work my dog shows signs tat she is very happy and even jump at me and wagging her short tail non stop..she must be happy tat she get treated on her wound
juz now i inspected her and pull another 14 dead maggots fr her wound, then i jet clean the wound and applied some more negasunt to the wound. all these while her appitite was unaffected and i feed her wholemeal bread and dog pellets. she also drank all the milk tat i gave her.
i cleaned her pen and the surrounding area by mopping
no more flies around now
i noticed tat her teeth nid brushing
can anyone pls advice me how and wat to use to brush her teeth.......darlie and oralB toothbrush ?
