Im a final year student and undergoing a final year project.My project are based on MEMS cantilever beam.

And i have a confuse and difficulty regarding the part of deflection of the beam.

My design :

Consist of :

beam length measure from 250 micron to 750 micron (free end type beam),
width of 10-20 micron , and the thickness of 0.5 to micron 1.0micron.

My experiment are to determine the displacement of the beam under 'uniform load distribution' .My force / load distribution are 10micronewton to 50micronewton upon the top of the beam surface.

The part confusing me are , are the deflection of the beam are same as the displacement of the beam?

I have run a simulation on COVENTORWARE software to determine the deflection of the beam,the beam view as 3d axis which have x,y and z axis.When the result simulated ,the deflection displacement show that the maximum displacement occured in Y direction (where it should be on z direction).Any suggestion on my problem as i have difficulty in this problem .

Hello,

when i started my pc suddenly the pc prompt me to start with

1.Window XP professional
2.Window XP professional Setup

Since the no 2 is stuck in the middle way,the system will prompt me to proceed with window setup or select no 1 to further my window...

my question is :

how to remove the no. 2 selection so i can directly go on through the window...
