Leopard 10.5.6 update problem

Hi all,

anyone having this problem?

I update to 10.5.6 and after restart the progress bar is kinda halt on configuring installation. i already wait for more than 30 mins but the bar stayed at approximately 1-2% only.

I really need help since I'm afraid I'll crash the OS if I force shutdown. Still nothing happen up until now.
Please help.

MBP LCD Problem

Hi all,
I experienced this problem using my MBP.
After a while, the LCD eventually goes black. it's not like it shuts down, it goes very dark but i can slightly see the desktop.
Anyone ever encountered this problem before?
Did this kind of problem covered inside 3-years ACPP.
TIA for any helps & opinions

[WTA] Device driver restart when playing game

hi,
anyone of you have experienced this?

i'm playing medal of honour airborne and after a while the screen goes blank and come back again like normal.
some times it even hangs & i have to restart the computer.

when i close the game, there this warning said that "device driver had restarted" on system tray.
any solution on this?
i try to reduce the setting of the game to 1024x768 (previously 1280x1024) but still having same problem.

my spec is:
- intel x3320
- gigabyte ep45-ds3
- 2GB RAM
- 9800GTX card
- Vista Business
so i guess no problem will arise with this spec.
i also play PES 2008 & COD 4 & never get this kind of problem.

then what cause the problem?
is it the hardware or the game?
i already update to the directX9.0c august.
do i need to update GC driver?

Need recommendation for < RM3000 PC (Intel based)

Hi, noob here on LYN.
I just wanna get som recommendation for my new rig.
I just make this following the guidelines.

1. The most important is the purpose.

I'm going to use my rig for mainly graphics processing (mostly photoshop using 8 - 200 MB file size)
so I kinda need fast processing computer & good screen (so that i can assure that no color change etc after printing)
i also play games but mostly GTA, Battlefield and Pro Evolution Soccer only.
I like to play it using the highest detail possible tho. (might need a good mid-range graphic card. high-end eg. ATI 4850 if budget enough.)

2. Budget: RM 2500-3000 (can streched out to RM 4000 but try to stick to max RM 3000)

3. I got old AMD 64 rig & because the mobo spoiled already so i think im going to built a new intel C2D based rig. So i might re-use my DVD Drives and 1x320 IDE HD only.

I might need recommendation mostly for the good mobo + proc + graphic card, and good big LCD monitor ( 19"-22" one ) for my purpose above (photoshop & other graphic processing)

What I already had in mind,

Proc : Intel C2D E8200
Mobo : MSI P35-Neo
RAM : Mushkin EM2 2GB DDR2 800
HD : WD 640GB SATA
Case : CM 690 or CM Cosmos (I like beauty also... )
PSU : Silverstone 560 / Gigabyte Odin Pro 550 (Got CM 380 watt on old rig & can be used if still possible. reduce cost)

This alone is around RM2000 so i need recommendation which part can be left out/reduce so that
the VGA card & monitor can be put under the budget. (budget can be streched out to RM 4000 if needed)

VGA card : need recommendation
Monitor : 19" - 22" need recommendation
