Leaving the disc in your ps3

I have some questions to protect my console.....
1) Do you guys leave the disc in the console when u switch it off? Would it spoil the console?
2) Would it damage the console if i were to switch off console during the game? (Pressing PS and just switch off system in the middle of game play)

hi guys im planning to get myself the wireless adaptor as my xbox is kinda far from the modem and it will look real messy with long cables and all.. i jz wanna ask anyone who's using wireless adaptor here,how's the connection? i know wireless is definitely slower than using cable but i just wana know how much is the performance lost? worth to get it?
